Yep. Pep will have been happy with the result but not the performance. An opportunity for him to lay it on thick that we got away with one but need to play better if we want to keep the run going.
I'm sure I seen a tweet where Laporte intimated Peps half time team talk on Saturday was one on a similar level to the "Sit down! Nobody talk!" team talk

I think picking tonight's team is the hardest one of the season.
There could be as many as 8 changes.

Ederson
Walker
Cancelo
Stones
Laporte
Rodri
Silva
KDB
Foden
Mahrez
Jesus

I wouldn't be surprised. He looked furious and he was right because it was a poor 45 minutes.

I remember Foden recently saying that this team starts slowly and it does sometimes happen.

As others have said in the thread, its due to Bernardo, Jesus and Foden. I can't remember a game where those three have started and we've started slowly. I know pep like his players to make smart runs and not to be headless chickens but those three seem to have it nailed.

An important game and a MUST win in order to be fully confident and at least +12 for the next game against United.
21 wins in a row is also a target.

Being a lot out of form in the last PL games, there is a little fear for this game also, but the important thing is to take the 3 points even in the not most pretty way by playing well, and to get in form again for the next crucial period.
Of course every team every time, cannot be in such a form for too long and inevitably will have a decline and the important is this to just be a short time and not to lose too much out of this and thankfully in both Arsenal, CL game and West Ham games 3 wins were achieved.

Sterling Jesus Foden
KDB Fernandinho Bernardo
Cancelo Laporte Stones Walker
Ederson

And 3-1

This is a "look ahead" game if we're not careful.
Playing at home against a middling side after a run of matches vs big name opponents with another one lying in wait at the weekend can lead to a less motivated performance.
Pep will obviously try to have them up for it but it's natural to have a mind on the United game.
I don’t think Pep could have been any clearer, every game is important and the focus is on the next game only. We will inevitably lose at some stage, that’s football not a lack of focus

Eh? We've two games against mid table level sides this week, are you looking at the same fixture list?
