Although probably think Haaland needs a rest, he also needs a goal. I'd start him personally. I'd rest Foden though.

Foden should be nowhere near a City startling eleven right now.

Decent line-up but just tinker who plays up top between Marmoush or Semenyo, and alter the wings with Doku to accommodate?

Semenyo Marmoush Doku

Doku Semenyo Marmoush

Doku Marmoush Semenyo.

All very interchangeable throughout the game of needs be and gives Erling the rest.
I agree however I do feel like this is the sort of game to get Phil’s confidence back up again if he got a goal or 2. But then again it could go the opposite direction

Having thought about it, wolves will most certainly play low block and hit on the break. We need overlapping full backs to pull their 5 man defence about and a double pivot to protect the transitions.

Much as I'd like to see it I doubt he'll play both Rodri & Nico G assuming he's fit.

Could be fun? Not sure Erling would be happy though!

If pep doesn't play cherki in this one, we won't score outside of a lucky break. Also personally would like to see Foden dropped, but it doesn't feel likely.

I wonder what would happen if we played a low block as well, we might at least get a nil-nil draw.

I imagine he wouldn't be, but I felt like his comments post-Bodo threw a bit of shade on being played too much. He needs a rest.

I'd be playing Marmoush in both this and Gala. Play him on his own up top or partnered with Semenyo for Wolves and then Marmoush and Haaland as a two against Galatasaray. We need goals and Marmoush can do that and in a similar situation last year he got us going.

I'm 95% certain that the big Norwegian will start tomorrow. Pep will hope (insist) we turn up, be a couple of goals to the good after 60 minutes, then bring Marmoush on for EH.

We desperately need a confidence boosting win against Wolves and I think that will happen.

How anybody can be putting Haaland in their team is a real puzzle to me. Bench, ok (although I probably wouldn't even have him on that). The guy is not, in fact, a robot, although there were serious suspicions about it in his first season. He is, on his own admission — and Pep's — utterly out for the count. The “ridiculous” number of games comment tells you everything you need to know. It wasn't even coded.
Either Marmoush is a City player or he is not. He is, does it need to be said, no kind of replacement for a fresh, in-form, Haaland. The idea is laughable. But if Marmoush is not playable, even in these circumstance, with Erling wandering around like a zombie and, among other things, missing chances that he normally scores with his hands in his pockets, thinking what he's going to have for supper, then Marmoush is absolutely not trusted by Pep, and should be gently invited to leave as soon as either this window or the next allows it.
Semenyo, Marmoush, Cherki can and should do a job up front tomorrow. Every single player that we have is a confirmed international for their country. Every one.
Yes, Wolves are on a bit of a run, they look better, but let's not go too far on the pessimism pendulum because of that shit show in Norway. They have actually lost two and drawn three of their last six games. If we cannot beat Wolves, at home, then no, we are most definitely not in any title race, whatever the table tells you. Even top four is far from assured.

If Haaland scores, that would be like a blood transfusion for him.

A goal refreshes the parts that a simple rest would not reach.

There are arguments for and against Haaland starting.
