Wolves beat us 2-1 with only 1 shot on goal. That’s life. So …
First and for all we need a win. I don’t fck care how we get it, just get this 3 points over the line. If we do it the Wolves-way, Pep won’t like it and I would give a fart.

Anything else is simply a bonus.

There’s so much shit in the media over the last few weeks again, Pep had simply too much material to get his players motivated.

Starting 11? Anyone. They are all great players with fantastic fighting attitude. So no worries there.

We started with a midfield 3 that day of Kovacic, Nunes and Alvarez.

We had no De Bruyne, Rodri or Bernardo Silva available, and Grealish came of the bench whilst Gvardiol didn't even get off the bench.

That game was one of the better games for Wolves this season.

I think we score 4 or 5 today, Erling confirms the golden boot and it is overall a decimation.

Not forgetting that wolves scored 2 from 1 shot on target all match

Ederson
Walker Dias Aké
Akanji Kovačić
Àlvarez Nunes
Foden Haaland Doku

Subs: Bobb, Phillips, Grealish
Unused: Ortega, Carson, Lewis, Gvardiol, Gómez
[Ref: Pawson]

Above was our line-up last September coached by Juanma, Pep being on a ban.

Might be different today with Rodri, Kev and some others.

Hope to see a rocking Etihad!!

Never really understand the logic of these type of posts. Over the course of a season every team drops points to teams that they should theoretically beat. If we end the season with more points than any other team, then we deserve the title, regardless of whether or not we beat Wolves at home.
Never really understand the logic of this kind of reply. Pretty simple theory, we have 4 games left, we need to win them all. The home games should, in theory, be the ones we fully expect to win. Not difficult.

Currently in hospital recovering from (successful) surgery, so do not have my home system setup and will be watching this on my laptop (as the TV in my room is exceedingly small, old, and too far away for me to see clearly), so won’t be in the match thread (I can hear a few rejoicing).

I hope the lads are able to give us a comfortably dominant performance tonight. But even if it is more of a slog than expected, I hope blues will remain patient and confident that the team will get the job done.

I also hope Phil has a FWA Footballer of the Year showing today again, just to hit home exactly how deserving of the award (and PFA Player of the Year) he is.

Come on City!
Glad it went, bud. Hope the boys don't raise your blood pressure too much! Come on City!!

That's not what you said though. You said we don't deserve to win the league if we can't beat Wolves at home, not that you don't think we'll win it if we fail to beat them.

Of course it's a game we would expect to win but saying we don't deserve to win the league if we don't beat Wolves just doesn't make sense. We could draw and still win the league as Arsenal might drop points at some stage.

Who deserves to win the league is based on results over 38 games, not on whether or not we beat Wolves at home.

Anyway, let's just hope we do get the win and in the following 4 games as well.

Fucking tough, tough game this. Wolves are still in with a shout of European football if they win all their games. Arsenal will win at lunchtime and we know from Klopp that lunchtime kick offs are great for putting pressure on your opponents. We will be under pressure from kick off and as we've proved against Madrid our players don't respond well to pressure, especially Haaland.

Take 1-1 right now and hope the Rags turn Arsenal over in the coming weeks.
You forgot Traore is our kryptonite and Wolves will be raring to do the double over us.
