Wolves - post match

Rather than spending shed loads on players to fill the current holes I'd like to see some pragmatism. Or at least a change in plan.

Walker at CB? Cancelo RB?

Dinho and Rodri In midfield?

It might not work but it's not working at the moment.

I think we need to evolve rather than keep on with the same style. Teams are having a go at us now. They have evolved.

Also the idea we just need Laporte back and everything will be OK is fanciful. Even with him Son tore us apart in the CL.

That's what happens when player's get tired. Wolves are a tough team to beat 11 vs 11. Even the world champion dipper team would struggle playing Wolves for 78 minutes.
Wolves have won 7 games. 2 against us. The others against the bottom 5.

We should have dealt with them last night. 10 men or not. Two goals up and we fucked it up. End of.

Let's be honest playing wolves away with eleven men is hard enough never mind ten and that's from 12 minutes so my sole blame comes down to Eddie love the Guy but that was rash and stupid coming out like that and it's not the first time he's done it. If he stays in goal different outcome less panic in defence.

Not here to brag, and in fact I am sorry (genuinely) that we have inadvertently handed Liverpool the title.

A game full of drama, I can't explain why but I just felt we were going to win. Obviously beating ten men for 80 minutes is key here, probably was a sending off but the keeper was silly in making that challenge though it all happened so quickly. The penalty was a penalty though I didn't think so at the time, just goes to show how VAR got it right, even though it was accidental. The twice taken penalty was to the letter of the law correct too, but by the barest of margins, and again it boils down to interpretation. The City player encroached first of all and it was so marginal.

City support was very good last night, all things considering (the result and the way it went), made a lot of noise I thought. Fair play for joining I with the "Fuck VAR" song, proper fans City are.
I know it was all very dramatic and hostile, but that again was mainly due to VAR. Inadvertantly, it just doesn't suit being used in football.

As a fan I am still confused as to when VAR can intervene and when it can't, never mind the actual decisions.

This is the best Wolves team I've ever seen, and I know its all down to luck with owners and money. Just enjoying it whilst I can. It probably won't last too long.

Hope City get back on track next season.
Back on track next season ? Still in 3 cup competitions, unbelievable.

After having time to calm down, I've came to the conclusion that Mendy's fucking dogshit
He made one mistake. Unfortunately it led to a goal, for the most part since he came back from his injury he has been fine.

It's not Mendy's fault no one closes down Traore for their first or we fucking lose our heads for their third.

Played deserved the win you have a top manager and a very good team can you make the the next step into the top four? Will your manager leave if another top club come in for him? Think the effort your team put in and the ridicules 44 hours both our clubs have been stitched up will effect yours and our team on sunday we might jus have enough to win but afraid liverpool will comfortably beat you and if its looking iffy the referee will step in.

I thought Mendy actually dealt with Traoré pretty well last night until he had his absolute brain fart.

And that for me sums up our entire season. Every mistake we make(see Sterling for their first goal) we are getting severely punished.

We were 10 minutes away from coming away with 3 points after being down to ten men for 80 minutes.

Most of those players worked their absolute bollocks off trying to shut down Wolves and it's very difficult to play your normal game when your up against it. But tiredness does strange things to you and after Mendy's error you could see the team looked crushed, Wolves sensed that and went in for the kill which worked for then.

I won't blame the team as a whole but individual errors are costing us dear at the moment
