She also said she wants to make the squad for the Euros, presumably by getting regular playing time. It’s not adding up
I do think that’s true and she’s seen that she’s not playing even though Hemp’s been out for months and we’ve just brought in Kerolin too.

Rejecting Brighton means she’ll play less at a better team. She’s not shown anything to suggest she’s anywhere near good enough for ages.

Guess she’ll rock up at the swamp in the summer, but she’s free to do that.

Not played well for a while in my opinion whatever the reason. Very silly doing that tweet. The photo attention doesn't mean you play well enough.

Kind of rules out staying in the North West for family reasons (ie. her new(ish) hubby works for the red scouse). Really strange of our club to accept a bid from Arsenal and not the ragettes unless it's a really good one. Reportedly ragettes may still be interested.
I'd class Arsenal as more of a rival than the Ragettes.

Seems a bit of a strange one to me.

What a load of crap: "Assassinate my character." Whoever, if any, advised her to post that is not helping her, and perhaps he/she is a united fan. This further confirms what I posted before that Kelly believes and acts as if she is a superstar, and all because of one goal she scored for the national team. As I remember, in most of the games at that tournament she was not among the starting 11 because the coach thought she was not good enough to start. I can't blame her alone because the club should have got rid last summer. She has been steadily declining for several years, and showing disinterest whenever she plays. But perhaps the club also decided to keep her because they believed she was a world renowned superstar and a great image for women's football at the club. I hope the day comes and the club run a serious investigation into how women's football has been operated over the past 4-5 years, specifically since the genius, the one and one only, has been chosen to be the coach of the women's team. There must be a total buffoon who leads women's football operations from above at City over the past 4-5 years.

Should have forced her to spend 6 months in the stands.
One final statement on Insta that absolutely screams "please give me attention" - classy from her. At any point has she considered she maybe hasnt been selected down to her poor play and attitude for the last 18 months?

The best thing the club has done is say nothing at all; let her hang herself publicly as the more whining and toys out of the pram she displays, the worse it looks for her.

This is all very sad and such a shame. We all know what a talented player she was with a lovely personality but I fear the media hype she received after that goal in the Euros has gone to her head big time at the detriment of her club form. She had a big dip in form and the club management should then have taken her to one side and straightened her head out. A good pro then works hard and gets back to the levels they were at. This is where things fell apart and the sulking started when she was dropped. Taylor must take some blame here and If you read Steph's book who is not his biggest fan she was treated poorly at the end. God knows what idiot is advising her but to come out with these pathetic whingeing statements makes her look very stupid indeed!

Her form was not good enough for a first team place
Sometimes it is as simple as that.

Since the Euros when she scored the winner - Kelly clearly decided to use that platform to maximise her profile and her income. I don’t blame her but that’s come at a cost in terms of her form and her relationship with her club. She has been very poor in her few appearances for City both this season and last and she has been fortunate to remain part of the England squad because her form certainly didn’t warrant her inclusion. She’s now quite rightly forced a move and it’ll be interesting to see if she gets much playing time at Arsenal but I’ve no doubt she will pitch up at the Rags come the summer. Chloe has been a good player for City and we should wish her well (although I feel compelled to caveat that if she joins the Rags) but her heart hasn’t been in it at City these last couple of years - and we don’t know what went on behind the scenes but it seems better for all parties that she moves on.
