Its sad to say but it’s looking increasingly like the hierarchy at City don’t really give a damn about women‘s football. Taylor was a lazy appointment - more a case of moving a problem in many respects. No other coach of a side at City would have been allowed to turn in such abject performances and results without repercussions- I guess their are little or no financial implications for failure in the womens game - so maybe the City hierarchy don’t care - but much of the good work done by Cushing et al and the building of a women’s brand at City - now lies in tatters - we are miles behind Chelsea and Arsenal.
Twice I have seen City play Chelsea on TV, twice a 3rd choice keeper gifted goals to Chelsea. I think if city had either 2 of their top keepers they'd have been very competitive in those 2 games.

Trouble is there always seems to be a City player loitering the field with little intent other than to gift the opposition a goal. I've watched the Women from the days at the Athletics Stadium but latterly I take my seat and the thought flits across my mind "Who'll bugger up today?" There's culpability all over the pitch, and off it(!) - misplaced passes, passes to players who are double marked, chances missed where it's easier to score, and total brain farts that are beyond comprehension. The last two games have seen a one-on-one in each, and both have been squandered. I wonder how many CFC or Arse players would spurn those two chances. I use to think that the minute we were in the oppo half there was a goal pending. Now, where it seems to take a lifetime to get in the opposition half I have little thought that a goal is imminent.

Forgive me to those who know a fair bit more about city’s ladies team than myself but we try and get to as many games as we can depending on my and mrs snakes shifts but the club now need to act for a new direction, the whole hard work that many have put in over the last several seasons either be it behind the scenes and on the pitch is unraveling very quickly. We’re not a sacking club but you’ve got to be cruel to be kind .
Been once this season to see us play West Ham and we were clueless. The players are not the problem per se, but the coaching and style of play is sub-standard. I will go back when the regulars on here tell me that things are improving.

I also find myself extremely frustrated with the misplaced passes, often simple ones. I don't understand why players pass to those who are double marked, considering our whole play is based on maintaining possession it is the easiest way to lose control of the ball. There appears to be a general malaise now setting in at the club (women's) and if we are not careful it will be difficult to pull ourselves back up.

Another reminder of how we've been under-performing so far this season is that despite the injuries we still have 13 players selected for duty for the upcoming international break (including 7 for England).

International break selections
No recall for Taieb by France. 3 years in the wilderness but STILL has ambitions to add to her 5 caps (GOAL interview 13 Nov 2021)………….Lol

That's a bit harsh. City have piled a ton of money into the club and we have more injuries than most of the league combined.

If we sack Taylor or not now isn't going to make a difference. I think we will wait till end of the year and get players back and a new coach.

If we don’t sack Taylor there is a very good chance of relegation. Things cannot be allowed to continue like this. Is Sam Allardyce available??

I don't think there's much chance of relegation as only 1 team goes down and there's a couple with barely any points at all.
On a wider point though, some have questioned the hierarchy's attitude towards the women's team. It would indeed be a real shame that just as the women's game is increasing in popularity and sponsorship etc City (who have done so much for the game) start to fall backwards.
Injuries have been bad and a big issue but I think we should be closer to 3rd place than we are - losing to West Ham and cheated home to Spurs were bad results. In mitigation too what can you do when the goalie is so poor?

The style of play so many times resembles those Eastern European teams in Europe in the 70's playing for a 0-0 from the start and barely getting out of their own half.
I don't see a great deal of point continuing with Taylor to be honest if a top class coach is available because, despite the bad luck he's had, he's not improving the team.
