Women's Team - 2021/22

Birmingham Women got exactly what their lack of attacking ambition entitled them to - a second half battering. Another away team full of cross country runners who can pass a football, and that is about the limit of their talents. No wonder they are where they are - I'm not certain they know where the opposition goal is. IIRC, they didn't have possession of the ball in our penalty area in either half. And we had an example of the mother and father of all fuckin' timewasting - the ball was down by the corner flag at the Brum end, with a Birmingham player in attendance. What did this player do? Why, she fucked off upfield and let their goalie make the 50yard round trip from her goal to collect the ball she could have toe-ended to the Birmingham goal area.
Yep deservedly relegated on that showing.

For that to happen we'd have to draw against Brighton, Birmingham or Reading and United would have to win their games including at Chelsea.

Possible, but I think we'll finish 5 points clear of them now (and also with a goal difference about 10 superior to them).

Ahem.... I do hope it ends up like that!

.I didn't think United had a chance against Chelsea and they wouldn't normally. Having watched Chelsea in their last game against Birmingham, the side we relegated 6 - 0 last night, they looked tired and jaded. Scraped through with a jammy penalty near the end. Emma Hayes looked duly concerned all the way through the game. I think they're struggling a bit so wouldnth rule out totally the chances of a ragette result.
Well see, if true we should be in with a great shout in the FA Cup final as we are on fire at the moment. Everyone fit and firing, particularly Hempo and my girl Chloe coming into form at just the right time following the injury.

Rumours Caroline Weir is leaving.
Why, where?
Have I missed something????

Didn‘t the BBC in their commentary the other week say she’s a good player and maybe she’d look for a bigger club! If she is off…. I’m guessing Lyon or Barcelona have offered her the sort of salary she deserves.

I told really follow womens football but isnt there a wage cap ?

I dont see how a wage cap is good for English womens football if the best players leave to play abroad.

You need the best players here to bring on the other players.

Seems odd to me, that's keep the wages low and lose all our best players.
