Of course, and coaches have to lead . I don't believe that he does !
So the question is, then, if Taylor is coaching the club policy, who or what is at fault?

I'm trying to find a positive to tide me over until Wednesday 'n Thursday! Just hope it's not a rehash of both games this weekend! No offence D E B, but that's kind of complacent thinking.
They are coached to do it these days dependant on the type of shot, but the "wrong hand" and "should never be beaten at the front post" tend to be trotted out by studio experts who played in midfield 30 years ago.If the ball is fairly central to your body yeah, that one was to the side and a routine save with the other hand. I suppose she's saved it at the end of the day and that's all that matters. when you see it with the men it's generally a case of making it look good for the camera, probably less to do with showing off for the women and more them relying on their stronger hand.
Taylor is not good enough. Where is the genuine competition for places within the squad? Where are those eager, hungry Academy scholars busting a gut to get game time? Some transfer buys have been extremely poor.So the question is, then, if Taylor is coaching the club policy, who or what is at fault?

Major and radical overhaul required from top down with the women’s team. I’m a Scot and have been hugely disappointed with Caroline Weir this season. A ‘worldie’ against the Rags last season is not enough to guarantee an automatic placeand she should have been dropped…but who’s taking her place? Same applies to several other City players.
The players that we have missed most are Ellie ‘hot water bottle’ Roebuck and Chloe Kelly.
I get what you're saying but given the women's game has less quality than the men, the players missing are a massive blow and that can't be glossed over. It's more about the way we are set up to play and that comes from the coach. We still have 11 full internationals in the squad today. A good manager has a way of playing that those who come in seamlessly slot into a system. I look at how some of our players play for their respective international teams and for us. For example Walsh, Greenwood and Weir would be deemed first choice but today offered nothing. I think there is a growing culture around this team that is more focussed on being fit and on form for the national teams. I honestly believe that we would be in a similar position if we had most of the team fit with Taylor as manager. Hemp aside this has been one of the easiest games for Chelsea to defend.
This injury list is being used by a lot as a reason why Gareth Taylor should still be the manager whereas I see a team with no real plan and a group of players who look lost tactically. Officially a write off season just as the women's game gets, quite rightly more exposure. Poor all round from those involved with planning.
If City want to be a real force in the Women's game and they have the facilities and resources to be this......then we get Emma Hayes in as manager. If she's not interested look at her coaching team at Chelsea and attract them. Chelsea and Arsenal are way ahead of us now and the Rags will be next unless swift action is taken now.I get what you're saying but given the women's game has less quality than the men, the players missing are a massive blow and that can't be glossed over.
That said, the tactics really do need looking at. So many sideways and backwards passes yet when I tuned in first half we had 2 strikers up front and I thought we would play up to them but we didn't. A few players just look to me that rather than stepping up, they are playing badly. For example, Beckie, Taeb,Weir, White and Shaw. I find Stokes a very one dimensional player too unfortunately.
I think the manager should go assuming we can get someone who has a proven track record
Well, the club should do the same as for the men's team and find the best available if they can.If City want to be a real force in the Women's game and they have the facilities and resources to be this......then we get Emma Hayes in as manager. If she's not interested look at her coaching team at Chelsea and attract them. Chelsea and Arsenal are way ahead of us now and the Rags will be next unless swift action is taken now.
It's been as miserable as the weather. I missed the game today through work, ordinarily I'd be feeling fed up about this but in the context of the weekend working has probably done me good. It has my pocket anyway. What a thoroughly shit weekend.
There's a whiff of complacency after winning the league last season, that is permeating throughout the club.
Is there an easy one stop place where expected return dates of all our injured players is listed? Can’t find anything in one place on club site.

Been managing a lot of pain over the last season but this week I had very successful and planned knee surgery.
Everything went well and the focus is now on a healthy recovery #Comeback2.0 pic.twitter.com/0OeGmCikil

Man City's list of absentees already this season would make a formidable starting XI - just for context, City had 10 unavailable players for the defeat to Arsenal. Regular No 1 Ellie Roebuck is currently sidelined, as is her back-up, Karen Bardsley. City captain Steph Houghton is also missing, as well as recent Best FIFA Women's Player recipient Lucy Bronze, who had surgery on a knee injury in the summer.
Chloe Kelly, Esme Morgan, Keira Walsh, Demi Stokes, plus summer arrivals Vicki Losada, Alanna Kennedy and Ruby Mace have all been in and out of contention, just to name a few. The sheer volume and quality of the missing players is enough to hamstring even the best of sides.
Not as simple as that. How would she cope with the injuries we have had.If City want to be a real force in the Women's game and they have the facilities and resources to be this......then we get Emma Hayes in as manager. I think he didn't make the best use of the Americans when they were here and I haven't fully understood, when we supposedly had Dahlkemper on a two year contract, she buggered off early. Nineteen players are listed on the WSL injury list and we account for seven of them, at least six of the seven would be first picks, too! CFC and Arsenal wouldn't be performing as they are had they the same injury list as us.Not as simple as that. How would she cope with the injuries we have had.
Nick Cushing did a great job and Taylor has taken the club backwards. So the problem seems to be Taylor but again injuries have played a part this season.
Hard to tell how any manager would have coped this season.
