See the Continental Cup Final is to be played at Wimbledon, suppose it was to much to ask to play it in the North West somewhere. I.E. Stockport or Bolton.

I'm sure it was decided long before the finalists were known. Didn't we play in one final at the academy stadium ?

Unless I missed something, Jill Scott is now on loan at Aston Villa, and not a coach at City anymore. Perhaps you also got this info from Everton fans’ forum. I actually forgot that you are the one who knows everything about the club ;)

Sorry to interrupt your discussion, gents. I seem to remember reading somewhere there are women who played for the Lyon female team who were not happy at all with the atmosphere at the club. Perhaps that is why he was fired?

Season to forget for MCFC women…NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Gareth Taylor is an incompetent coach who has totally failed in the matches that matter. His idea of a ‘good side‘ is filled with his underperforming favourites and players being played out of position.
That ridiculous ‘goalkeeper’ Taeib; Stanway at fullback;
Jill Scott at centre back; Kennedy given game time; Ellen White and Caroline Weir selected……and ON THE BENCH……… and never utilised properly…..
This total dickhead (Gareth Taylor) needs to be removed immediately.
If MCFC are really serious about Womens football then this Tosser has to go.

I thought we played pretty well against Chelsea and deserved at least a point. Awful goal to give away with a fucking midget scoring with an unchallenged header. They pressed us well and stopped us playing first half but they created fuck all. Once they scored they sat in and defended. They defend well,as a team and despite our best efforts couldn't create clear enough chances. As usual we got no luck in the box and every loose ball in their box went to a Chelsea player. Last half an hour was one way traffic and they were clinging on. I thought our deserved goal was coming but we came up short again. Seems a common occurrence against this lot. Get another chance in the League Cup against them but I wont hold my breath.

Derby is now a must win for Taylor. Lose this and we can kiss goodbye to a European place and he should then be sacked.

Thanks for the info @better dead than red. No problem of interrupting our discussion. I know @bluealf cares about the club, and so do I. It is just that each of us is favoring a different approach, which is ok, despite knowing that the final call will be up to City. Who knows, perhaps the current genius coach will stay for another season.

I stand corrected in regards to M. Vasseur and his Lyon team. It was PSG's women's team that appears to be a horror show.

The French Women's National Team manager does not appear to be easy to get along with (big surprise as their National team managers are usually such jolly people) and in the middle of the madness are some Lyon players.

Mentioning Losada not being picked reminds me of the way that Rose Lavelle was hardly used last season. Fantastic player for the US whenever I have watched her and virtually ignored by Taylor.

Unless there was another issue, she just didn't get the minutes to influence the team.

I think the problem Losada has (and Lavelle before her) is that her best position would be in either the Weir or Stanway places and those two are automatic selections for the manager if available regardless of current form.

I know in an ideal situation there shouldn't be "automatic selections" but unfortunately that is the way things works sometimes. For some players, putting them on the bench or in the stands for a game or three might give them motivation to work harder in training or during a match.

I often thought with Rose Lavelle perhaps we took her they season with no real intention of using her. It was my contention, the move was purely to keep her from going to the female rags, Arsenal or Chelsea. Rose, and Losada, are much too talented to keep on the bench but for the odd game or a few minutes here and there. Perhaps, we obtained Losada to keep her from a rival with the intention to use her from time to time?

You really are a massive ****, you didn't know she was a coach yesterday, maybe she is combining the two, I doubt Manchester and Birmingham are far apart but that would be conjecture on my part but then that didn't stop you from posting your tripe the other day.

Not sure if I dare mention Everton again but whilst she was a coach with us she was at Everton on loan last season.

Stanway has been played at right back, left back, right midfield, left midfield, up front and split striker, attacking midfielder and number 8. I don’t think Stanway was an obstacle to Losada being selected for most of the season. Weir and Coombs got the nod in central midfield more often.

Did you spot/miss that for half of this season they were having to fill in for the injured players, now that most are back everyone is playing in their main position.

Your rant is somewhat over the top, but it's nothing new. I get you don't like Taylor, but most of what you say, he had little option with due to injuries. The players filled in as best they could, and it wasn't that great result wise, but its been much improved recently, and losing 1-0 away chelsea is hardly a disaster.

You clearly love Gareth Taylor. The test of a coach is to handle unexpected injuries and HE FAILED…..again and again. He has no idea what his ‘best team’ is and selecting that totally useless keeper Taeib over a much better 16 year old has ruined this season.
