Women's Team Thread 2024/2025

Goal line technology and VAR isnt available at all stadiums in WSL so is not mandatory . Btw I think the goal was awarded to Tottenham ?
I cut the report out of the Telegraph and I've now lost it! I'm sure it said that Totteham's night got worse but the goalie was Hampton who is CWFC's goalie. Odd! But it still leaves Heapswill making a name for herself again!

Yeah, was a shocker of a decision as assistant ref wasn't in a position to give it an no way the actual ref could be sure. Shouldn't award the goal in those circumstances.
If either of those two officials KNEW that the ball crossed the line they must have every number of every fuckin' national lottery draw in their back pocket! I would like to see PiGMOL's explanation for that 'goal'. The woman shouldn't be anywhere near a football ground let alone officiate a professional game.

Mental isn't it?

Had to be Hemp or Greenwood all day long. Can't think of anyone else worth a shout even.

Don't think there's been any stand out performers at England level over the past 12 months. Park, Clinton and Beever Jones have been outstanding but for the time being Weigman has largely stuck with the Euros winning team even though a lot of them have gone alarmingly backwards. I'm pushed to think of anyone beyond Greenwood and Hemp in the established England set up whose star hasn't faded over the past 12 months. Maybe Jess Carter? She's been really solid for England. Lotte had a great season at Arsenal last year but still hasn't established herself for England. Obvs Greenwood has inexplicably fallen out of favour with Sarina though. But yeah, Hemp would walk onto any team in the world right now.

German Centre back no6 sounds fun.

Excellent! Saw our youth team in the CL had the classic combo of Whatmuff in goal and Simpson-Pusey at CB. Would be good to find a male Minge to slot in there too.
