it's so refreshing to watch football being played like it was when i was growing up in the 90's. No fannying about rolling around and throwing themselves to the ground in embarrassing fashion and no brandishing cards for absolutely every miss-timed tackle.

Saying that, the football from England is absolutely dreadful. It's Sunday league stuff. And that's not an attack on the standard of players, it's an attack on the manager. We haven't put 5 passes together all game. Our tactics are lump it down the channels to the pacy willing runner upfront who's nowhere near where you've just smashed it then hope they can somehow get there and hold it up long enough to get enough into the box to lump it in there. This whole world cup has been based around waiting for the opposition to make a basic error and capitalise on it.
