Women's World Cup

I enjoyed watching that a hell of a lot more than I have enjoyed watching countless prem level games.
They have clear and obvious structure, most of the time they adhere to it, they occasionally go for it if there's something good on and they give it all.

That is probably the funniest thing I've read in a while. On the plus side for you mate the WSL starts back next week. You must be buzzing

If it entertains me more than watching a highly professional display of
mindless conformity to arbitrary directives regardless of whether they suit the situation then yes, I might. ;)

That's a great result for women's football here, even if we didn't win the trophy, it has done a lot. We're not yet at their level but we're improving, I have no doubt the media will miss that City have played a big part in it.

Anyone who expects women's football to be of the same standard as men's football is completely missing the point, that it is a totally different game, and it always will be, but the standard here is improving quickly, and finishing 3rd best in the world is a huge move forward.

In fact, the co-commentator on the BBC coverage tonight commented specifically about the phenomenally high level of fitness of the City players.

You could save yourself a shitload of money and get your footy fix down any local park on a Sunday morning. The level is about the same.

Money on what? I already pay the licence fee to the BBC. After that no more charges.

Lot of assumptions being made here.

And having played and watched Sunday league for a long time, no, it definitely isn't anywhere near the same level (I'm talking specifically about last night's game).
