The guy with the cowboy boots on? Are you sure thats Rob Fahey?
I was talking to Rob Fahey outside the Red a few months back, not sure if it's the same weirdo who walks round civic, although I couldn't believe it when I was told who he was. Bad bastard of the highest order.

I know at least one person who gave him a good kicking in his heyday, so it's not all bad. ;O)

Spent the early years of my life in Woodhouse Park, seen some strange sites, lived in a pub there The Woodpecker. In hind site moving was prob for the best.
My dad used take my grandad in there on sunday afternoons, he told me about the time Tommy Cooper walked in and just started pulling drinks for everyone in the pub.
Ive lived round the corner for about 15 years and Ive never stepped foot in the place.

-- Sun Oct 10, 2010 1:24 am --

There were quite a few tbh mate, didn`t know he`d gone a bit mad now though, I suppose many of you younger lads won`t remember the big`manhunt` for him after a Post Office in Styal got done over in the early 80`s either ?

The Woodpecker was a great pub once upon a time aswell, as was the Labour club next door (which I believe it`s gone now).

I remember it, there was a big shoot out outside his mums house in an ave off Mayfair rd. I believe the bulllet holes are still there.

My neighbour used to work in the Labour club. Big Harry.
