The funny thing about memory is that I can remember stuff from nigh on 65 years ago but I can go into the garage for summat and forget what I've gone in for!

Oldtimers desease, we've all got it apparently.The Woodside Cafe on Palatine road, opposite the Forum accepted farthings right up until they were withdrawn. Bought a few blackjacks there, one at a time.
Question: how can I remember such details when I can hardly remember my own name?

Oh, I do that one as well! Mrs Ewing couldn't find the dishcloth the other day. It was found in the fridge! I can't remember, naturally, whether I was responsible or not!I dont have to go as far as the garage.....spent many hours staring into the fridge...now what was it ??? erm...nope!
