at fuckin last, no able bodied person should be out of work for 2 years unless theyre lazy arses. Or maybe theyre working for cash & signing on.
if you go to Byron Bay or parts of the Gold Coast here there are loads of surfers who have never worked, some of them are old guys as well, just living of taxpayers like me, no responsibilities, just collect theyre dole every fortnight and catch a wave.
Absolutely, no able bodied person should be out of work for more than 2 years.I have worked with families where THREE GENERATIONS of a family have NEVER worked and have no intentions of working. Their houses are kitted out with 50' TVs, a DFS suite every 6 months, new car in the drive plus the kids have xbox, psp, uggs iPad, iPhone etc etc need I go on.

Are you the Butler, Valet or Under Gardener?
Lol, certainly had me questioning where I was going wrong, as at the time I had 2 jobs being a single parent

I don't understand how this will work. The companies that benefit from these cheap workers, are they forced to employ them full time after a period ?
Surely some unscrupulous companies will be sacking their entire workforce and then re-employing them through this wonderously cheap government employment programme.

From what has been said so far i would imagine its local government and social services who would benefit. Litter picking and cooking meals for old folk.

Can I ask why the unemployed cant be given a free bus pass so they can travel to and from job centre etc they then hand the pass back once they find work? Surely this would help out immensely and at a low cost to the tax payer in the long run, I'm all for the long term getting a kick up the arse how they implement all this is another matter.

When all these long term unemployed are going about the place picking up litter, cooking meals for the elderly and generally doing great works for the community, what are the people that are currently employed by the local councils or authorities to do these jobs going to do?

Does anyone think this will actually see the light of day in any meaningful sense? This is a move designed to placate all the waverers on the right of the Tory party who are thinking of defecting to UKIP.

The reality is that social security is there to stop the poorest in society from rioting and routinely breaking into suburban homes to feed themselves. Osborne knows this. He's not going to risk widespread social unrest for the sake of a few hundred million quid.

If (god forbid) the Tories win the next election, this scheme will be shelved and sidstepped and the current system of social security will remain largely intact.

& where in the job centres are all these new staff going to sit to deal with these extra callers ? or those that are barred from the job centre, or are postal signers due to their geographical location?

Yip, yet another ill thought out sound bite from the nasty party.
