World Cup 2018 | 1st July | R16: Spain vs Russia, KO 15:00 (BST)

The whole Spain team plays to keep the ball with no intention of scoring. I'm not sure why Isco is getting so much criticism on here.If he isn't taking too many touches, his team mates are passing it backwards and side ways.
Silva and Busquets have been just as guilty, someone needs to take responsibility and up the tempo.

I see what you're getting at. I should really read that FIFA rule book on it but it's probably so complex. It was daft of Pique anyway. Spain are so boring

I doubt it is, I reckon it's really vague, and exactly why all this confusion happens

You don't get it. It's not subjective. If you put your arms in an unnatural position and stop the ball travelling you pay the price. Whether that's the 28 days later tribute in the Iran Portugal match, the hurling catch by the Denmark player or Pique dedicating his shit attempt at defending to someone in the sky, they're all unnatural positions and they've affected play. Watch Gimenez and Godin yesterday, they kept their hands down or behind their backs and never gave the referee a decision to make.

This was an unnatural position & deliberate. Same with Umtitii.

The others weren't. One was correctly not given. The other similar one wrongly given.

I love it when Ramos doesn’t get decisions, he’s a right ****

Suarez in 2010 was aghast at the way his teammates defended and throwing his arms out in disgust, completely accidental.

Totally agree. The only problem with the handball rule is the guidence for "What's a natural position when jumping for a header"? Not arms beside your body and that's a fact! Piquet stuck his hand in the air so Penalty. He knew what he was doing.
