World Cup 2018 | 1st July | R16: Spain vs Russia, KO 15:00 (BST)

I used to get frustrated with Kevin de Bruyne when he first came to us because I thought he gave the ball away too much. But in a team of technically good short passers you need someone who’ll take a chance with a positive forward pass or long ball. That’s why Kevin and David play so well together for City, they’re perfect for each other.

Silva needs to work harder to find space this half, as his teammates don't seem to trust him in the tight spaces

Which would be strange seeing as he’s one of the best in the world when it comes to playing in tight spaces.

Chuckle the younger on the Russian penalty; "...no complaints from Spain at all". My telly must be on the blink then. Pique and Ramos moaning like fuck to the ref.
He’s fucking clueless that bloke.

I feel for that women's team, they’ll learn absolutely fuck all off that Bury bastard.

Koke looks a bit like that Youtube guy The Syndicate.

Well I know that but they're not passing to him.

That was a pen definitely.

Unlike the other recent two.
You don't get it. It's not subjective. If you put your arms in an unnatural position and stop the ball travelling you pay the price. Whether that's the 28 days later tribute in the Iran Portugal match, the hurling catch by the Denmark player or Pique dedicating his shit attempt at defending to someone in the sky, they're all unnatural positions and they've affected play. Watch Gimenez and Godin yesterday, they kept their hands down or behind their backs and never gave the referee a decision to make.
