Good win but again its not a measure of form. Wales arguably had a more difficult run. England run the risk of being undercooked by the the time this competition gets going. Again the win is fine but it tells us nothing really against this type of opposition.Fair enough but you can access the teams all you want but who would have predicted some of the results that have been thrown up already in this competition. Anything could happen and with a bit of luck who knows. I mean who gave Wales a prayer of getting to the Euro semi finals!
Belgium didn't score in the first half against them.
Yesterday some people were saying that the fact that Belgium scored five against Tunisia, put our performance against them into perspective.
You can't have it both ways.
As previously stated cant chuck one off on the back of this result because they beat Jossys Giants.Who gives a fuck? Enjoy the victories when you get them. I don’t think many are seriously thinking we’ll get too far but why not just enjoy us actually winning games for once?
Yes it’s obviously a simple choice between going berserk throwing beer everywhere and not celebrating at all, with no middle ground. It’s all relative to the game surely? How dare people enjoy England winning in a tournament, hate people like that, who get behind their country...
Panama were total dross..not even championship worthy if we are honest
Better England sides have drawn or lost these games in the past, we weren’t great today, just scored goals. But we need to take that forward with confidenceZPanama were total dross..not even championship worthy if we are honest
It's not about the scoreline it's about the performance and us and Belgium are chalk and cheese on that front. They've scored all their goals by carving teams open with ease in open play, we've barely created a thing in open play against the same teams, but have scored with almost every set piece we've taken. If it comes down to a set piece battle, sure we'll beat anyone, but in open play we've been largely pretty disappointing against a couple of teams who clearly aren't world beatersBelgium didn't score in the first half against them.
