No boycott will occur.

Way too much money involved with far too many fingers in the pie.

The World Cup isn't Eurovision. The FA will be making an utter killing from this tournament and certain members will be no doubt made millionaires from it.

Would have to be an EU and UK enforced decree for it to happen.

Lived here for 14 and a half years. Rarely watch the news apart from the 6 o clock (UK time) headlines after watching The Chase!
I doubt normality will return once he’s gone. He’s divided the country up nicely to the point of no return. There won’t ever be middle ground because neither side will concede an inch.
But the IPA’s are a good drink, the spring / summer and fall (yes yes it’s Autumn) are great, the beaches top notch and it’s cheap to fly around the country. That’s the reason to visit. That and the covered bridges. If you aren’t going to visit such a vast, contrasting and great scenic country based on who the dick in charge is, let me know which country you are visiting next and I’ll find some reason why you should not to go there

Reminds me of this story from Noel Gallagher.

Good point…There have been longstanding allegations about them funding extremist groups, in regions around the world and domestically, that oppose Britain. The official line is they are a strategic partner but a lot of people who know their stuff don’t buy it and claim they act against us. You could also say Russia had already invaded and occupied Crimea and we didn’t boycott their World Cup in 2018.

I think we understandably hold the US to a higher standard, after all, the country came from British colonialism and is in the anglosphere of countries, so I get why them behaving as they are right now, triggers more anger. We expect it from the likes of Russia but not the US.

We’ll have to see how it all plays out but I’m not looking forward to Trump making it all about him, even if it does calm down and goes ahead.

UEFA cannot guarantee the safety of supporters at the WC. This is especially true of non white fans now that SCOTUS has okayed the targeting of people by their apparent ethnic type.
UEFA should withdraw all teams from the WC.
