I'm probably behind on this, but I've just found out that the 2030 World Cup is to be held in:

Paraguay
Argentina
Uruguay
Spain
Portugal
Morocco

Yes 3 continents....

Then the 2034 one in Saudi. Fifa are literally a meme of themselves at this point.

Absolutely hilarious what they’ve done there. As Qatar held it in 2022 and they’re in Asia, it needed to go to a fair few years before it was Asia’s turn again.

Hang on though, 2026 is in the USA, Canada and Mexico, so North and Central America covered.
Then, 2030, let’s do Spain and Portugal, so that’s Europe ticked off.
New plan says Infantino. Let’s go to Morocco for a couple of games and, as it’s 100 years since the first World Cup, let’s play the first 3 games in Uruguay, Venezuela and Argentina. That ticks off South America and Africa, leaving just Asia and Australasia. We’ll then tell the Aussies not to bid and, what do you know, all that cash the Saudis have shoved at me and bingo, World Cup in Saudi a mere 12 years after Qatar.

That means another Winter World Cup and a likely January/February timetable. Reckon I’ll be long finished with football by then, sadly.

Given the amount of criticism this is likely to bring, I’d imagine FIFA will be laying 2034 charges against Manchester City some time soon…….

There’s a lot of highly principled journalists who won’t be going to that on the grounds of ‘sports-washing’. Or, maybe not…….
Gary Neville will be filling his boots again, before going on Have I Got News For You to be ridiculed to f#ck with 'bantz'.
Pass me the sick bucket when he does

Apparently Uefa are saying no winter break will be allowed for Saudi.

If they stick to their guns and if I'm still alive ! I'll stop booing their jingle

Football is becoming a farce. The money grabbing greedy bastards are killing it for normal fans.
Mean nothing.
They will sharp change their tune when they realise that their domestic leagues, and the Champions League (if it still exists then) will all be without their best players for 6 weeks.
UEFA will end up using it as a way to get the remaining 20 club leagues to drop to 18 clubs, as they have always wanted.
