World cup best bets.

This is precisely the problem with England. Just listening to Shearer say he would be excited by the draw, which is of course the right attitude, but then goes on to say he was disappointed by the draw in 98 and hoped for higher calibre opponents than Tunisia and Romania. It seems he has forgotten we lost to Romania. Maybe if we stopped being so arrogant against certain counters, we would have won that game and not had to face Argentina.
 
Tough draw for the US of A. Doubt we will make it out if that group. Anyone know what the odds are of the USA getting out of that group??

Why would the England V Italy game be changed???

They were hoping the only game to kick off at 2am UK/European time would be a game between Algeria and Russia, instead it's a blockbuster fixture and the suits at FIFA don't like it because they think it means less £££ which I think is nonsense.

Personally think it's a brilliant game. Lets be honest we will always remember watching England Vs. Italy played in the Amazon rainforest at 2AM, it's games like that that will be talked about in 40-50 years! No need to tamper with it.

I think you have a far greater chance of finishing bottom than making it out.

This Australia team is not a very good one. Last world cup you were really unlucky, because you got unfortunate red cards. The Cahill decision was a joke and Kewell kind of had to go, but it was a natural reaction. I reckon you would have beat Ghana had that not happened and not lost so heavily against Germany.

I see a lot of similarities between Spain and Italy this world cup. I wonder if Del Bosque, will trust the youth or go with the old tried and tested players. Xavi no longer should play, Martinez is better than Buschets etc. The new generation of Spanish players are more direct, but I wonder if like Lippi, he will trust the old guard a tournament too far and end up going home early.

Eh ? We qualified for the World Cup ??!!. Majority of the Bluemoon posters told me that England are sh*t ,the FA, Roy Hodgson , the players and that we wouldn't even qualify for the World Cup.

Yeah, how can England be shit when they beat the likes of San Marino and Moldova away from home in qualifying? (failed to beat poland, ukraine, montenegro) and then beat all of them (apart from the mighty Ukraine) at Wembley. England have played some outstanding, expansive football during the qualifiers so any talk of Hodgson being shit is far fetched and is just nonsense generated from the scottish/welsh/irish/FIFA propaganda machine
