this match really a bit drab without Clichy and Nasri on the pitch

Last week France did the job though. Deschamps to his credit looks to be playing the best team... not the best players. Argentina have done the same by not taking Tevez.

We however, have not. We even kept pushing that awful Gerrard/Lampard partnership for 10 years.

England should've progressed in 82, they had a decent side, but again, underperformed, and again in 86 underperformed, be had a far better side in 86 than we have now, but for a cheating drug fiend, it might've been a whole lot different. 1990 we played to our potential, and were again unlucky.
Yesterday, we were woeful, Gerrard and Henderson are average, we need a midfield maestro a la Pirlo, Gerrard ain't it, never has been, why Hodgson played both again is beyond me! We lost the Italy game, so why continue with a team that lost?
A work in progress yes, but get rid of the old wood, England are soft in the middle, playing the midfield pairing of a team that had one of the worst defensive records was a master stroke, while Milner, MR dependable, from a team that had one of the best defences, hasn't had a minute of game time, is fresh, and fit..... Figure that one out for me Roy?
No, we are shit, like a smartie left in the sun, crispy on the outside, but put any pressure on us, and we implode.
That Rooney has only score 1 WC goal is pathetic, underperformers to a man, bar Cahill, Sterling, Sturridge, I hope Hodgson plays a more progressive side and we now out looking to the future, not pandering to the past.
