Can't imagine many of the Portuguese players shaking the referees hand after this one, however bad they've been he has given them absolutely nothing

Wouldn't surprise me if the ref had seen Meireles's antics at HT..

Meireles has been pretty average now for Portugal. I watched both matches of Por vs Sweden in the playoffs and he was next to useless. I dun understand why he gets to start ahead of carvalho. He actually looked good when he first went to Liverpool.

Highlight for me was Nani tackling his own left back who was just about to have a shot.

Yes, that was a very "Nani" thing to do.

Good game, but the ref spoiled it. I think he gave everything to Germany. The pen was very soft and in a world cup Pepe probably gets away with the head butt. Germany looked very good though even with Ozil having a poor game. He is lucky that Reus is injured or else he would have found himself on the bench. Loew plays favourites though, by bringing on Podolski when he has Draxler on the bench. Muller is just like Drogba and has his tendency to play act and feign injury, but such a big game player. If Neymar is not top goalscorer then think it will be him.

Because that's the correct alternative spelling of Müller, Schürrle, Özil. Muller etc is wrong.

Sums up what I thought about the game. I really thought it wod be a closer game. Pepe was stupid but could have been given a yellow IMO. Yes he was stupid but the ref was strict to the Portuguese all game. the German defence was there for the taking.
