One day the americans will win a world cup, they are improving so much.

No they wont... Not ever.. More chance of England winning the Super bowl

I think it's pretty foolhardy to think that a country of 317 million folk won't win the competition one day, even given that soccer has a fairly low profile there at present.
You only need to produce 11 great players, and you have a fighting chance of lifting the trophy.
England are unlikely to win the Superbowl, mainly because we don't actually enter the competition, which in my experience always diminishes your prospects somewhat.

Listening to 5Live in the car yesterday evening, and they reported that after a training session, David Luiz gave his top to a young lad. The lad was so overcome that he burst into tears.

Apparently, he really wanted Fernandinho's!

The USA's wealth, climate, infrastructure and sporting facilities make winning the World Cup inevitable when the footballing planets align and they start to get a sniff of a chance of winning it.

Anyone who can't see the way football is heading in the US, is greatly lacking in imagination and an ability to look beyond the headlines.

They will win it by 2038 imo.

That's actually my point NF, that's how far from winning the world cup USA are, equal to us winning a competition we don't enter.
As for the population of the US being a factor, that's irrelevant, China will not win it and neither will India.
Football will never be on a par with the top sports in the US, basketball, baseball, even ice hockey, to be fair they have a half decent team at present but not anywhere near a team that is capable of winning the World Cup.
Obviously as I have said anything is possible in theory but the reality is a different ball game, no pun Intended.
The reality of the matter is that the USA will never produce a full squad of players that can play well enough to win it, its not a fact but its a near as you will get to one in footballing terms.

Especially when all the kids who are training on the pitches donated by the UAE Embassy and City reach adulthood and find their way into the MLS squads.
