Another garbage performance from Ronaldo.

maybe not 100%, but he's been way below the level of players like Robben for quite some time now. Plundering goals in an almost totally dominant Real Madrid team against weak competition is one thing, but the test is making an impact against strong opposition. he has done that for Real Madrid, and for Portugal, but o much of his game is based on acceleration and power. He'll be one player that will decline very rapidly when he's physically past his peak - and there are signs of that. He's not going to be able to carry on and adapt his game and play in midfield like Zidane. It's all about pace, explosive shooting, leaping physicality. So as I have said before, the dream outcome of this Summer transfer window would be a move to Man Utd, however I don't think Van Gaal is that stupid.

This is just awful. Ronaldo was not fully fit and playing against probably the best team in the competition. He is not as good as Zidane, but then again either is Messi. Ronaldo has actually done very well for Portugal and carried them very far into tournaments. A European Championship final and a semi-final losing narrowly to Spain on penalties. At the world cup he has taken them to the quarters and the semi.

I don't like this idea to disrespect the importance of speed and power. It's an important part of the game and Ronaldo has scored many important goals. Probably was the best player in the world last season.

At one time he was the best. So was Kaka, so was Savicevic. Players don't always stay at their peak through their career

You misunderstood the point I was making about Zidane. Zidane's game was all technique whereas what gives Ronaldo his edge is his physicality, therefore there will come a point soon where he will go downhill and fast. That explosive pace fades quicker than touch

He's nowhere near the level of Robben, Di maria, Neymar or Bale at the moment. I'd rather have Lucas Moura than Ronaldo. There's an awful lot of hype in football, and Ronaldo doesn't live up to it in most games. let's jut see how this World Cup plays out
