Another I remember is Jeff Whitley v Port Vale in 2000 - half volley 4 yards out in front of open goal; skied it virtually over the North Stand

I was just watching city vs vancouver whitecaps friendly from last season during my lunch break (as you do) and dzeko missess a sitter in that!

i was at the port vale game when whitley skied it, he explains in the end of season review that he thought the ref had blown his whistle so he didnt really concentrate as he thought it'd be disallowed...hmmm...not sure about that!
