Worst City players you remember

This must have be an age thing, because City had players like Nick Fenton and Gary Mason who weren't even good enough when City were struggling at the start of the 98-99 campaign.

I remember going travelling in 98 and not returning until September and my mates telling me how great this lad Gary Mason was. Fair to say he was not the saviour I expected when I saw him live in a 0-0 or 1-1 draw with Colchester.

As for Fenton I sort of felt he was a victim of the time. Played well at home against Burnley (possibly his debut) but dropped a clanger at the death to gift them an equaliser. We could not buy a break around that time.

Adrian Heath and his miss vs the rags has never been forgotten or forgiven.

Robbie Folwer (I was not surprised, I was totally against signing him and turned out to be very disappointing).

Wilfred Bony (? just why

You know what mate, I’d watched McMinimum when he was a wiry kid at Liverpool, and even when he went to Madrid, he was superb and literally unplayable on his day, but as his time at Madrid went on, you could see once he lost that youthfulness and energy, he became a lazy arrogant fuck, so I was really against his signing.
His debut though, as you say was magnificent and even I , despite what I’d seen previously, thought maybe I’d got it wrong, so you weren’t the only one to be fooled ;-)
So true about his Madrid days and becoming a lazy, arrogant fuck, that's a mirror image of his now pundit role, his comments are soundbites, very lazy, very arrogant, and very cuntish.

We have all been had by this scouse ****.

Danny mills and Steve mcpointytwat, cunts on the field and cunts off it, and both were paid fortunes we couldn’t afford and took the absolute piss

Bony wasn't half bad. I mean he stood near opposition net. If someone could hit him with a shot, it might bounce off him and possibly end up as a goal. Bony, the semi-mobile pylon is vastly underrated.
