Worst Goalkeeper

I remember that Joe Corrigan was terrible until he went out on loan to (I think) Shrewsbury and got some coaching lessons.
When he returned he became one of our best ever

Simon Tracey gets a, not so honourable, mention, from me too

I feel Tracy is rather hard done by purely on the basis he let in 5 goals.
Go on youtube and (painful I know) watch those 5 goals. He actually saves very well the initial shot on (I think) 4 of them but beaten to the rebound on each time. The defence around him let him down badly that night.

Oh and while i think of it, does anybody else but me remember a lad called Nigel Lowndes, turning out for us in a game against Derby Co reserves in the midd 70's, at Maine Road?. (Paul Power's Rezzie Debut)

We absolutely battered them but lost 4-1... I swear Derby only crossed the halfway line 4 times in the entire 90 minutes, but Lowndes would panic & run a mile everytime the ball came within 30 yards of him.... Im sure he was allergic to leather.

On reflection, Lowndes has got to be the worst i ever saw (Sincere appologies to Mr Siddall)

P.S Paul scored his debut goal for us that day, too, if i remember rightly.

Later on Nigel moved to Australia and played some national league football here and then played local league football I had the pleasure of playing against him a few times and he was quite a good keeper. I always doubted that he had time with City but I was wrong next time I have a beer with him I will have to mention this post.

John Buridge is by far the worst keeper I ever since between the sticks for us

This! But to be fair wasnt John 'The budgie' Burrage 41 when he signed for us.
I'd therfore prolly go for Ike Immel.

keith macrae (showing my age) and I'm sure many will disagree, but I thought Kasper was vastly over rated

I'm going with Keith McCrae... signed from Motherwell for a WORLD RECORD fee for a goalie

Yeah I'll take that back about Paul Cooper, but Stowell I'm not so sure. In my original post, I stated Sidall was the worst and I'll stand by that, but for a close second and no third place has to be Tracey, Immel or Burridge. I've actually just watched the season review from the promotion campaign, and yes Cooper was good, especially on his debut v Leicester (the game Lakey swallowed his tongue).
