Worst place you've ever visited/driven through in the UK?

I used to go out with a bird in Thamesmead, an estate in South East London. That was scary.
Peckham - even worse.

Abroad Guayaquil in Ecuador was scary. Gunshots every night. They've cleaned it up a lot now.

Some bits of Isaan (North East Thailand, where my other half comes from) are pretty depressing. So much poverty.

most of the places mentioned felt the back of maggies hand.Knew a couple of ex-merchant seaman,they both reckoned it was between glasgow and millwall as the most dangerous ports they came across.personally it's london every time just one big traffic jam
