Certainly the angriest I've ever been at a referee was when this happened -

watch the second Rooney 'assault' vs Aalborg (1:22). The kung fu kick. Missing this was without doubt the second worst refereeing decision in the history of football.

The worst? Studying video footage of it after the game and deciding that no action was required.

You are still pissed off about an offside decision from 42 years ago? That is absolutely brilliant! Football is one of the few things that can evoke such fury.

Fortunately I still hadn't born in 1968, I feel old enough as it is. The ones that particularly stick in my mind were Graham Poll a few years back when he single handedly knocked us out of both cups in a couple of weeks. And I think Bellamy getting booked and sent off at Bolton for "diving" was really poor. Same happened to Edghill once as well as I remember.
