Worst XI since the takeover?

How has Gerry Taggart not got into a worst ever team? His 'performance' at Blackburn in 89 was probably the worse I have ever seen. It all paled into insignificance later though.

Probably because it was 20 years before the takeover!

Wright
Maicon
Bridge
Boyota
Savic
Rodwell
Delph
Sinclair
Weiss
Santa Cruz
Ched Evans

That side would be relegated.

Based on players we bought after the takeover that actually played:

Pantilimon

Maicon------Savic------Mangala------Sylvinho

Hargreaves------Zuculini------Rodwell

Sinclair------Santa Cruz------Jovetic

To be honest, Mangala might be a bit harsh, but I put him in ahead of other contenders (Nastasic and Demichelis) on the grounds that he cost world class money.

You've nailed that.

Caballero, Otamendi, Fernando, Navas ????? srsly
I probably underrated Savices and Boatengs unsolidness for City because of their careers after City but yes, all those you pointed out are very fuckin expensive garbage who are still getting wasting a huge amount of money on (their salaries) instead of putting em in for a 1 really top player.

Its frustrating to know how good Boateng and Savic are now compared to when they were with us. I guess with time, maturity and good coaching all below average players can change into great players. I can remember Savic being a total nervous wreck in one game, i think it was against the dippers.
