stop kidding now , from our team only balotelli is barcelona class for that football style
You picked our Italian. There's a surprise.

i dont give a fuck if he is or not italian , i'm a world citizen.

Lescott and Dejong are the only outfield players that would get in the Barcelona team. Dejong is better than Busquetts and Lescott is better than Puyol.

You think Balotelli would get away with sulking after losing the ball at Barca? No way.

He doesn't work hard enough to fit in with them.

Barca is all about closing down and working hard off the ball. I think thats answered the Balotelli question.

you can persuad a player to work more hard

you CANT convince a player to be more gifted than what his mother did...

If Bobby can't persuade Mario to work harder, then not a hope Pepe could....

He wouldn't fit in, simple as.

And his messing around would simply not be tolerated like we have.

Silva is the closest thing to the likes of Messi for me-Just wish he could score a bit more like sir Imogen Giggs!!!

Messi? Hell no.
Silva can't dribble and beat players like Messi can, if anyone of our time was anytime like him it would Tevez.
Just down to pure workrate and willingness to try beat players and shoot.

Silva is more of a Xavi-Iniesta type style. The three of them in the centre together would be lethal,
But Barca like that cover on front of the back four in Busques so he'd end up on the bench.

Stop being a know all even though you are spot on.

Still think that Silva would slot in nicely-think Busquets is slighty overated and Silva has the quick feet that most of them have,Xavi,Iniesta,Messi.

Kompany would be a good puyol replacement in a few years. Quality on the ball, strong in the air and all the attributes a top drawer cb needs.

Kolarov in his Lazio days was as highly rated a left-back as you could find and if we can work on his cross blocking i reckon he'll be brilliant. Gets a lot of stick but he has a huge influence on us in an attacking sense. I reckon he'd give Abidal a run for his money.

Tevez could swap with Villa, no doubt. Tevez is as good if not better.

I dont think silva would get in ahead of Iniesta or Xavi, but maybe in place of pedro. Not good enough in front of goal for that though.

Very interesting thread, and of course it's something we have to look at if we are to compete with the likes of Barca.

I would say without doubt, Hart is better than Valdes.

I think Richards would do well there at right back, but not sure he's better than Danny Alves! Weren't we after Alves?

Vinny easily better than an aging Puyol and certainly than an out of position Mascherano.

I think De Jong would be useful for them, but probably not before who they have already.

They would certainly take Tevez (hopefully not) and Messi is the player I want Silva to be, although it's a big ask. Better finishing from Silva and he could be very close.

So all in all, I reckon Hart, Kompany, De Jong, Richards, Silva and Tevez would easily get into their squad, if not the starting line up. Yaya came from there, so given his late season form, he's a miss for them?

If 7 of our players got into their squad, it shows how we're progressing. Or am I being a bit too generous to our players?

By contrast, how many rags would get into their team?

What about Arsenal ? Id say Fabregas, Nasri possibly Walcott
Rags? Rooney and Vidic

Feel free not to comment on this because who gives a fuck anyway ?

mancini dont need to persuade mario to work more hard of what is currently doing coz City dont play pressing like barca do. and a single player pressing on himself alone is just an headless chicken.

Remember about 2-3 seasons ago when Barca were sniffing after Vinny. They wanted him for 8 million.

Yet you didn't pick Kompany, Hart or Tevez. All of whom would have a greater chance of prospering in the Barca team than Mario.

Little bit generous but its not laughable like it would have been in the past

What's scary is how close Arsenal's midfield is to Barca's.

On their day, as they've proven, they can go toe to toe with Barca with their speed and skill. That's part of the reason we look clueless when we play them.

.

hart ? LOL . barca want a keeper to be very good at distribution , so hart is keep out.

tevez ? great player , unfortunally he play head down , passing game is not his strong .

kompany ? good player still too nervy and unsure for the kind of game barca play.

nothing to do with their nationality as you can see.
