Look, I definitely think some of you should actually read my original post again. For one, I quite clearly stated this wasn't a thread to knock Pantilimon, although some of you with larger gobs think it was.
The fact of the matter is; a goalkeeper shouldn't need a fucking 'rest'...he's a goalkeeper f.f.s!!! For whatever reason people and Mancini think a goalie needs a break, that break need not have come yesterday. We had an understrength side from the start with Barry, Balo, Yaya, Dzeko out, fuck knows why Hart and Clichy were rested. Bobby may as well started Rekik, Suarez and the rest of the young lads if his excuse for Panty was that he needed experience. Either play your strongest side or dont in a match against the Rags...at home...as the favourites...having smashed them away 6-1 a few weeks early.

shirley it wasnt as much about resting joe as giving his back up valuable game time.

i thought he put in a good performance and joe couldnt of done much better. but whether joe would have organised the defence better we`ll never know.

Dont think would have made any difference in reality but you never know, could have affected the defence's performance due to the uncertainty of what Pants can do etc..

I'm convinced Hart would have stopped the Welbeck goal. We've all seen he has the reflexes of a cat and stop shots he has no right in saving and I really feel he would have reacted quicker to the shot and got over and tipped it past the post.

Of course the result and the sending off would have been completely different had Hart played, thats obvious.
