Would Tevez have done well in Pep's system?

aaaaaaaahahahaha

He would on the pitch, but not off it. He was a notoriously lazy trainer and would sit and eat Mars bars etc. when he should have been working

He’d have been brilliant under Pep. It’s no coincidence that Pep’s Barca were so clinical because he played strikers like Henry and Villa in wide positions.

Ne'er mind Carlos, I wonder how we would have conceded a goal had Pep got his tactical and coaching hands on Dave Ewing. He could have played 60 games a season of 99mins duration, and been the Nesta and Cannavaro , Baresis and Santmaria of City along with Konpers.

You reckon? I always thought Tevez was great at retaining possession. Even when he went to beat someone but they tackled him he seemed to end up with the ball (rather than them taking it off him). Him and silva stood out for retaining possession when we were stepping up i thought.

Just my opinion, and still not sure whether he would work well under pep or not (either way what a player)

I know what you mean, that upper body strength. But as part of his game he lost possession a lot because he runs at people, sometimes down blind alleys. That was also his brilliance, because he made goals out of nothing. I guess we will never know!

He was a world class player and any manager worth his salt would want him in their team.

I am absolutely sure Pep would have loved him. His strength, determination, workrate, link up play and finishing were all superb.

He would walk into this team right now as the captain!

Imagine the Tevez we had in 2009-11 in this team. He’d score 30+ with ease no doubt. He was a special player

The man was absolutely world class and won games literally by himself.

He was also a born winner and had the eye of the tiger in fucking spades.

He "pressed" before the press even existed in this country.

Put it this way, if we had a prime time Tevez in the squad this season we wouldn't be sitting here crying about coming second and getting knocked out of the cup by Arsenal.

Pep would have loved him.

If I could pick any player I have seen as a City supporter in my time following the club(my first game was in 1979)it would be Paul Lake, I'm not even sure what the limit of that partnership would have been. Tevez is a hard one, a little like Yaya not sure it would have worked well because I'm not sure how much work he would have been willing to put in outside the 90mins of the game
