Would you accept this scenario?

Having supported City in the third tier, finishing second in the top flight still seems like a dream to me. So yes, winning the Champions' League and the FA Cup in one season should always be seen as an amazing achievement for anyone.

No. Even if we win the chumps we will then get you have only won in once. Would need at least 3 wins before beating us with the no/one/two wins stick would stop.

How about we win the league, which is the one I always want to win and then win the CL as well, I would be happy with that with the Top 4 as it is except for Chelsea instead of the Toon

Last year when asked this I said 100% the league, I wanted 4 out of 5 as that is an era of complete dominance, I said win that and I’ll probably chose CL next season if asked again
Now I’m being asked again I want the league again as only United have won 3 on the bounce and I want to match that record
PL CL double this year would be the icing, a team that won 3 on the bounce while also winning a CL, United have done that but not with the points and goal tally’s we will have done it with
That double this year puts us clear as greatest English side ever IMO

But my answer to the question is it’s getting a tougher decision every year but I’m currently still going with the league

Yeah but in the grand scheme of things they had hugely fulfilling careers and got to lift the PL multiple times and the FA Cup and League Cup.

No disrespect to Ryan Bertrand but he famously won the CL with Chelsea and yet had a fairly average career which was nowhere near as fulfilling as the careers any of our stalwarts have had.
Aguero, Vinny, and Silva deserved better “luck” in the champions league, suspect most would have swapped a champions league win for one prem title.

At the start of every season I would rather win the league and three in a row would be very special but I think this scenario is very acceptable. Obviously we would all rather win both but the scenario is very favourable.

Chelsea, United and Liverpool missing champions league qualification again would mean they miss out on the prestige, vast revenue and transfer targets due to this. Could mean we get an easier acquisition of Bellingham for example.
From the current squad I suspect perhaps Phillips would be the player who would maybe prioritise Premier League, Haaland and Alvarez also but I think would be ecstatic with CL

Ederson, Stones, Walker, Laporte, Foden, Gundogan, Bernardo, KDB, Mahrez all have 4 premier league titles: 2017–18, 2018–19, 2020–21, 2021–22
Rodri, Cancelo have 3: 2018–19, 2020–21, 2021–22
Dias has 2: 2020–21, 2021–22

I'd take that even if we were 9 poins clear of Arse now. The CL is possibly the hardest thing to win. And the fact we have never won it hangs over us. That FA cup win back in 2011 got us out from under a cloud and now the CL is the only thing we haven't done since.
