Would you Boo Dunne?

I thought Dunne was vastly overrated.

A giant one game, and a clown the next, getting sent off for clumsy tackles, not to mention his own goals.......

I wish him well at Villa.....Good player yes, a legend no!

I'd laugh if he scored an own goal......remember, this is an important game so a cock up is due (same as in CC final where he gave the ball away).

Absolute shite...Whats this morale fucking high ground everyone is taking with Dunne,,,ok i appreciated some of his qualities whilst he played for us, he was though a pretty average center half in Premiership terms.

One point i will make is why make an oppenent feel right at home as to help him relax and have a big game against us in what will be one of the biggest games our club has played in years, the next few games are huge , we dont need no distractions and need our players to be backed rather than returning fucking heroes . Well to some anyway...HE's gone, move on ..he has...he;s gonna get tortured, every mis kick, the lot,,put him off his game,,,,final whistle if you feel the need, sing his name,,,WHEN WE HAVE WON THE POINTS

Why on earth would anyone want to boo the Dunney Monster?

It's not like he even left of his own accord, it was City who forced the sale...

Didn't stop anyone with Coton. Regardless of who he went to, it still wasn't his fault.

I'll neither boo nor cheer for Dunne when his name is read out. He's Villa now and we need to remember that in such an important game. Like with ex partners, you should never look back.

-- Tue Apr 27, 2010 7:39 am --

Sorry to harp on about this, but why would you chant for Dunne when we don't even have a decent song for Barry who came the other way? Lets get behind our own team eh?!

Look lets not get carried away Dunnie was a warrior for us and will always be remembered. Unfortunately he just wasn't good enough for where we want to be so we had to let him go. Hes not in the same class as Lescott or Kompany and probably neither Toure so lets not get all emotional. Hes had a good season and I will give him a good reception prior to kick off.

Once the game starts though hes a Villa player and he will be trying to get Villa to 4th spot, therefore anything is fair game imo.

Small round of appause when his name is read out is all that is required. No need to go over the top with cheering and chanting Dunnies name etc in reaction to the booing that Barry will recieve from the Villa fans, we need to be 100% behind City on Saturday.

Who is this Lescott guy you mention? You are right that Dunnie isn't in his class, Dunnie is at least 5 classes ABOVE Lescott!!

When he was in a city shirt he was a hero, now he's playing against us, for a team trying to get to the Champions league like we are, and he will be doing his utmost to beat us and stop us from winning, so for ninety minutes give him pure shit.
