Would you Boo Dunne?

dunne should get a great cheer when he returns, wether he scores or not. he did a fantastic job for us in his time in blue. anyone who boo's him needs their heads shaking..... hard!

i could never boo dunney, he will always be a legend, when he scored against us he didnt cellibrate, , hes a villa player, they pay his wage, but i can ASURE YOU, he will never cellibrate scoring agaist us, he has nothing but respect for city fans, he would say that he is stll a blue and when he hangs up his boots he should be welcomed with open ARMS...he didnt want to leave , so show your respect to him but not to villa. rest asurred when he comes out I FOR ONE WILL BE STANDING ANS APPLLAUDING, i dont give two fucks what anyone else thinks, if you dont want to then dont but dont disrespect the man, he wouldnt disrespect you.

Dunne will get a great reception when his name is read out, as he should. That doesn't mean anyone wants him to play well against us and if he does score no City fan is going to celebrate it. If it was up to Dunne he would be lining up for City this weekend, he didn't want to leave. So he gets clapped as the teams are being read out like any former player who gave his best for us, then we move on get behind the team 100% and hope come the final whistle its three points for the mighty blues.

I hold Dunnie in the highest regard and always shall do. To boo him is something I most certainly would never do and at the same time, if he was to score at Coms he would never overly celebrate.

I know there are those who never liked him at City, but to a great many of us he will always have a large place in our hearts and we will continue to wish him the very best in his career.

He is a fine example of a young player whose career was going "off the tracks" but fortunately he managed, with the help of others, to turn things around just in time and become a true professional, a gentleman, great centre back and a loyal servant to City.

Slight aside.

I remember an ex City player coming back and murdering us. I can't remember who it was but I think it was in the last few years at Maine Road.

Before the game, the announcer had made a big play of saying "And a warm welcome to......" and the crowd went mad.

The manager at the time (Royle? Keegan?) went crazy after the game because he felt the way he was hyped up had contributed to his performance. Since then things have been much more muted.

Can anyone remember this?

i wanted dunne to have a great season,as most blues did.in fact all blues did.the only exception being against our good selves.

I would never boo the man in a million years. He has conducted himself with impeccable dignity and class after being shat on by Hughes and Cook last summer. So much so he was voted one of the best two centre halves in the Premier League by his peers this season, getting into the PFA team of the year. Did any of the defenders who replaced him at huge cost even get a sniff? Don't think so.
When I compare the respective attitudes of Dunne (a man) and Robinho (a spoiled infant), it almost makes me want to weep at the waste of talent
