Would you say the League(PL) is getting stronger?

Then you're deluded, and have been conned by Sky's marketing campaign.

Teams like Las Palmas wouldn't break a sweat beating Newscastle

Do you think? Was only a few months ago they gave us a chasing, saved by a Sergio goal that should have been disallowed, drew away at Liverpool and humped Spurs 5-1 and are now better than they were then....Newcastle might be a bit of a one off in the Championship as they would likely be top half in the Prem with the team and manager they have and are much much better than lower half Spanish and German sides...

No they aren't. They aren't better than half the teams in the premiership, it's just the kind of bollocks when anyone does well in the Championship and then they finish 17th after getting promoted.

Las Palmas can go head to head with Real Madrid, they can sure as hell beat fucking Newcastle and their bunch of Championship journeymen.

More competitive yes, but not better. Generally the teams are just a collection of expensive players rather than coherent teams and that's becoming more and more the case. There are very few English teams who are even close to being as good as the sum of their parts, most are woefully short of it.

In other leagues, teams are much better structured, they sign players with a plan as to how they want to use them (generally, but obviously not all teams). Most teams have a planned identity that most English teams just don't, they rely on the manager to set everything and as a result end up with squads full of different managers players that don't remotely match. You see the success of a team like Southampton, who actually bother to run themselves like a European club and hire managers and players to suit a system

Definately at best, I would back Newcastle to beat any Spanish/German bottom 10 easily and they are in the Championship.

The bookies would fuckin love you

Yes
The bottom 10 in the German and Spanish leagues are Championship standard at best

West Ham have had 4 goes at beating a Romanian team and could not manage it. Celta de Vigo recently put 4 past Barcelona.
I dont think the bottom 10 of the PL would trouble anyone in the Bundesliga or La Liga.

If teams parking the bus, with no intent to try and play the game as it was intended is improving, then yes.

Nope.

I'd say its getting overhyped and turning into WWE.

Mass corruption being ignored to preserve the product.

I've been echoing this sentiment for a few years now. It tended to be laughed off, it still is by armchair MOTD, deadline day, never been, history wankers (guess who). It's happening.

I think the current top 4 look very good. Chelsea, Liverpool, and City are all setting the bar high. United should be performing better than they are based on the players they have. Rest of the league is meh, but decent standard.

The distribution of points, games won, etc, at the end of a typical La Liga season is quite similar to that of the PL nowadays. There still seems to be a common presumption that there's a huge quality gap between Barcelona and the 2 Madrids vs the rest of the league, however appart from one or two teams other teams not really making much of a challenge for fourth place, the end of season table stats provide a not too diffferent story than that of the PL. There's been a 30+ point gap between the winners of the PL and those teams that fail to make the top 8 for many seasons now.
