Would you take Skrtel or Agger?

Before the two legs I would have said no chance but this year they have been excellent. They look very solid, are tough, good on the ball, good in the air and can mark strikers out of games. I think one of them is the ideal partner for Vinnie, and I don't mind which!

Think the question should be, do you rate Agger over Lescott? I for one don't. Lescott has come on a lot in the last year and since the derby he has had almost 5 games of holding the defence together on his own, played great recently, his flick away from Kuyt last night and apart from the miskick from the throw in he played very well.

Thinking this last night. Skrtel is Stoke-class but Agger is an excellent footballer who can bring the ball out of defence.

If most of our possesion is going to be played amongst the back 4 in games, we need to play it quicker and Lescott slows everything down for me which has been part of the problem recently with Vinnie out.

I am comparing them yes. Vinny can run with the ball & plays an occasional spectacular pass. The other 9 times he tries it, it goes for a goalkick at the other end of the pitch. Both of them are mostly shite at passing & best when they just keep it simple pass to each other & then to Yaya Toure. Both are top defenders & better than anything at Liverpool.

Kompany is not "shite" at passing. He's known as one of the best passing CB's going.
