WSL Arsenal (A) 05/11/23:

Seems that Taylor has accused the arsenal gaffer of bullying the 4th official, it seems to be something generic at arsenal, and it's about time someone called them out for it. I don't like him (eidevall), cut from a similar "win at all costs" cloth that arteta is.

I didn't see any of it, so can't really comment other than what I've read, but not good for the game.

The Arsenal Manager was using the fact that the dugout is about a yard from the pitch to intimidate the ref let alone the 4th official.

It's the ratio of passes to shots that concerns me. I watched enough of MCWFC to be forgiven for thinking that some of the game plan consists of X-number of passes equalling a goal. We need to process the ball into the oppo are far more quickly. Goalie takes a GK, CB passes across to the other CB, diagonal ball to the FB,down the wing to the R or LW, the move stops and goes into reverse. The number of times I've sat at the Joie and said a silent prayer unanswered prayer that it doesn't go back to our goalie. Some would say that possession is nine-tenths of a goal. I would say you'd be right if the move was executed more quickly.
Yes I agree. I've just posted in the serie A thread about Fiorentina's final ball , as I was posting I was sat there thinking at least you know when it's the final ball! We have far too many passes that are completely pointless.

Been critical of Taylor in the past but he seems to have got us playing this year… the points we have lost have been unfortunate.

the rag manager Skinner is an arrogant tosser cut from the same cloth as many of his male team colleagues. Saying they should have won by five or six in what was probably a fair draw !

If the refs in the women's game treated these snarling, semi-house trained vociferous win at all cost merchants that descends into bullying I would expect the ref to issue a red card with the same rapidity we saw flourished to our players during our game v CFC. Unfortunately, it seems that there's a different threshold when another team misbehaves. I haven't checked but has another woman football in the WSL been sent off or received a yellow card for a technical offence?

Despite the string of results the notion that they 'should have won' just highlights the long held belief at The Swamp and Leigh Sports Village that they are 'entitled' to win by stint of turning up! I think there isn't another club on the planet that exudes such a mountain range of arrogance.

When I’m reality they needed the officials to adopt a play till United score approach - yet again.

I had a season ticket for 3 years and Roebuck better than what ive seen today from Keating, maybe a one off

Definitely a one off for me. For a 19 year old, she's been incredibly consistent since coming into the team this season and deserves to keep her place and build on the experience she'll have taken away from an off day yesterday. She was outstanding against Chelsea. Actually thought she was a bit unlucky to give away the penalty as it wasn't a great pass back to her in the first place and the second goal was just a freak where she totally misjudged the bounce. The main takeaway for me was that it's great for a young keeper to be brave enough to come and deal with those balls in the first place, and i hope she doesn't lose her confidence.

I've only been properly watching the women for the past season and a half, and as great a person as Roebuck comes across, I don't feel like I've seen her improve v much in that time or fulfil the potential she was billed as having a couple of years back. I think Keating has way more potential at this point and it makes sense to stick with her. Maciver also seems to be ahead of Roebuck now and her performance in her Scotland debut has done her cause no harm.
