We're still playing too many stupid balls that end up causing us no end of problems. Cross-field passes that don't reach their target with the central defenders split or short passes when the recipient is being pressed and ends up in a turnover with a clear run at a one-on-one. We got lucky today but it's not always been like that and we don't seem to have learned.

Don't think our full-backs are good enough defensively and I would much rather us think about turning Aleixandri into a proper defensive midfielder instead of playing her in that hybrid role Would also free up Hasegawa into her more natural role. Think she would off us more creativity as a number 8 than a number 6.

I’ve professed my love for Lauren on here before, but she really is so special. Heard on comms that her contract is up next summer. For me, if she leaves us, it’s well and truly game over. Her, Chloe and Bunny are a threatening front 3 but I think we need more from our midfield.
Shout for Alex Greenwood too. Her and Hemp are by far our best players imho.

Love watching Lauren too. That natural ability to glide around the outside of a defender with her natural foot is quite rare these days.Although she's nothing like him in appearance obvs her footwork reminds me of Leroy,how she can effortlessly cruise past peopke.
Makes the game look huge fun .

Feels a bit defeatist but I think I want to see Chelsea beat Arsenal today. I can't see us seriously chasing them down but if we can make second, get back in the champs league and have a good cup run that would represent decent progress. Definitely need to strengthen at the back next summer though.

That's actually a very good shout.

Moving Aleixandre forward would free up Houghton or Mace to be in the back line. Mace is also a very good 6 as she reads the game well and strong on the ball defensively.

Can see her moving on, though.

Was flicking channels just as a blatant penalty and foul was....er.... not given.
I see the officiating is given an exceptionally easy ride.
Was as if two people who had never seen football were commentating.

Ha habwas a man and woman combo. The woman asked if City's goal was offside not even close and the bloke kept pointing out Villa had some ex Manches Unidy players although he didn't bother with any other former teams.
