WSL Everton (A) KO 12:30 Sun Dec 15th

What you hope the players can bring to a game of football - movement, passing accuracy, control, tackling, shooting, tactical nous, defensive solidity - were all sadly deficient. I think that's the most toothless display I've seen from a City women's team. The game against Brighton last season was better.
 
Just everything about our performance today was off. Everton always had at least 8 players behind the ball and we just couldn't find the space to play in. Passing wasn't crisp or sharp enough throughout the whole team. Any team in the world would miss the calibre of players that we did today but even so we really should be beating teams like Everton. We had enough qulity player to do that but they jsut didn't perform for whatever reason. Congratulations to Everton on gaining their 1st ever win in the WSL against us.
 
Poor performance and poor result. After the defeat to Chelsea I didn't think we'd be winning the league this year but that result has certainly scuppered any lingering chance we had. We need to hang on to a champions league spot. No one else seems to have had a problem against Everton. For goodness sake City.

Settled for top 3 and not the title by continuing to employ Taylor. However seems to be a huge issue right across the club with so much possession yet doing very little with it. Teams creating as many chances against us with 4 times less the possession and both mens/women teams littered with players who have no idea (Shaw/Haaland aside) on how to finish. Just sideway passing for the sake of it and clueless at both ends, god knows what we do in training apart from try and keep the ball
 
Fuckoff that was piss poor against the 2nd worst side in the league. Pathetic.

Some need to have a long hard look at themselves. Ouihabi was garbage today and Yuis worse game of the season. Fowler fucking invisible. Roord fucking invisible. Park fucking invisible. Kennedy just piss poor. It took bringing the kid on to give us any impetus.

For a side aiming to try and win this League following Chelsea dropping points it was crap.

Just like Chelsea, following a Champions League game midweek we lacked the required energy. Only tfey didnt fucking lose. That mixed with 3 senior players missing through injury was too big a hurdle to get over. We need a bigger squad if we want to compete on all fronts.

Thoroughly pissed off with that performance. Off to the Etihad now, let's hope the men can do better to prevent an utter shit show of a weekend.
 
This has to be the last chance for Taylor, There was a chance to close the gap on Chelsea and he could not get them up for the Everton game, He's had enough time to prove his salt and never gets big results when needed
 
Pathetic result. The manager is cloaked in failure - he's a serial loser, who has proven he isn't up to the job. That squad had more than enough quality on the field to get a result, and after Chelsea dropped pts yesterday it offered them a glimmer of hope. The resultant performance shows the character within that dressing room and the managers skills.

A game they couldn't lose, against a team that's won 1 game all year and they could genuinely have been 4 down at half-time. Unforgivable but it tells you a lot about where our Women's team is and has been for years now. Serial underachievers with no bottle.
