It did, in my defence iv done this 2 or 3 times this season and City women have always scored about 5 mins later, and it happened again today. :)This aged well.
Difference is 22 WSL games, to 38 PL games, we're near half way (12 to play) and 6 clear, and with superior GD.Isn't that what the Arse fellahs 'n fans were thinking a few weeks ago? It's nice to see but even six points can vanish if yer misfiring! Just ask CFC lasses.
Keep doing it them.It did, in my defence iv done this 2 or 3 times this season and City women have always scored about 5 mins later, and it happened again today. :)
With defending like this...How did Everton beat Chelsea away from home.
Following that disgrace of a comment regarding the penalty, "...they probably deserve it", for us, after Bunny's second. She actually said that. "Probably". PROBABLY? Seriously? That Welsh? commentator has only been able to spout negatives - until she had no option without looking (sounding) utterly stupid
She was technical directors at City's academy for 3 years, so I don't think she is a "hater", just trying to be "neutral".That Welsh? commentator has only been able to spout negatives - until she had no option without looking (sounding) utterly stupid
I'm claiming an assist from yesterday with Diaz's goal. Five mins before he scored I said to my neighbour indicating pretty much the spot from which Ruben unleashed, according to Jonathon ScreechArse, his heavily deflected goal that we used to score from that distance since Mahrez went.It did, in my defence iv done this 2 or 3 times this season and City women have always scored about 5 mins later, and it happened again today. :)

BTW - Who was she ?
Ah. Just looked her up. Arsenal in her blood. Played for them for 13 years & was an Arsenal supporterJayne Ludlow - technical director at the academy 2021-2024.
They say the league table doesn't lie... but on that performance Leicester were by some distance the worst team we've played all season. It's very difficult when only one team wants to play.Chelsea fucking battered Everton, hit the woodwork 5 times! Keeper Brosnan, made 4 world class saves including snaffling one that looked very close to being over the line after a ricochet off a toffee player. Just one of those days for them where Everton caught them in transition once and scored, bit like they did to us, but they couldn't keep us out. But hey I'm here for it!
Thought we were having a similar day in front of goal following that first half. Bunny should have had 3 or 4 and Viv a couple in that 1st half alone. The stats say they had a shot off target but I don't remember it.
Thought they were diabolical considering they were at home, offered nothing but a blanket defensive low block and crowded the penalty area just hoofing it up the field and giving up posession for 90+ minutes. We completely outclassed them. Defensively dogged is the best they could be described as. Whilst we were prolifferately profligate. (Who doesn't like a bit of alliteration)
They ran out of legs and out of luck with 20 minutes to go after Kerolin came on and ran them ragged. Her and Beney are formidable when the fullbacks have been chasing Hempo and Auba up and down for most of the game. Skinned their fullbacks over and over again. Kerolin denied a certain penalty as well, fucking abysmal refereeing.
Deserved victory and probably should have been 7 or 8. Bunny should have had 5 at least. Still, 6 points clear and next couple against lowly opposition with the challengers around us having tough European games midweek. We should be targetting domestic silverware this year and the League definitely looks possible. 10 years since Steph and Co won it last. I'm excited for the girls this year and enjoy watching them although they frustrated me with their poor finishing for long spells today considering Leicester were so godawful.
On to Villa next.
Yeah, I only caught the post match interviews last evening, and I couldn't believe he said that. xG may not tell the whole story, but creating 9 big chances and missing 7 of them does. As the song goes, "it should have been ten..."Their manager said 3 nil flattered us in his post match deliberations. I beg to fucking differ and so do the stats.
Didn't have you down as one of those horrible, smelly Johnny Foreigner types.Au contraire Mon Ami, total hater!!
