WSL - WHU v Man City, Sunday 1 October

" Man City had more passes than any other team in the WSL last season, by quite some distance "

In a mad sort of way, that kind of sums up exactly what's wrong for me... the insistence from above that the women have to play the same holistic way as every other team at the club.

Lends itself to my other theory that Taylor is happy to be the yes man which is why he's still here.

Bent ref at Villa park…. Let’s United off with a clear red - ref looking right at it…. No hesitation sending off the Villa player a few mins later.
The women's game continues where it left off last season.

Castellanos booked for mouthing. Why is it that a player can get two or three dodgy tackles in before the ref considers a card, but if yer open yer mouth once yer done! She's only got to mistime an innocuous tackle a nd hey ho, we're one down.

We are playing the same old game it seems from the MDC - bags of possession and little penetration, it seems. Cue a West Ham goal out of nowt!

I see Ouahabi still has the "strictly cannot pass to anyone other than Alex Greenwood" clause in her contract...

Was hoping it expired in the summer.
