Wydad AC (N) | CWC | Post Match Thread

I agree and as soon as I saw it happen live I said the same.
It was even more cringey to watch him pleading with the ref and 'asking questions'
You've been sent off, just get off, all he did was embarass himself.

And yes, I'm no fan of Lewis.
Well you need to understand that it was being reviewed by VAR at the time so he didn`t need to leave the pitch just in case it went in his favour.

Did anyone else wince when Ake seemed to trap the ball and his leg collapsed over it ? He seemed worried for a few seconds then got on with it.

I was at work, and missed the last 30 minutes, but the odd brain fart aside, I was very encouraged by quite a lot of it. against a team that looked quite dangerous on the break, but lacked a class finish (like a number of others so far).

first half only felt like a really competitive game and first half we been good. Few proper chances bar goals (Omar, Foden, Ake), harsh conditions, Reijnders looks a real quality, Cherki as well (not everything worked for him but he had few good showings, like a pass to Foden when Foden should have scored. But Foden today is another good news. Unfortunate performance for Reis, but he could and need to be better
All we are saying, is give Reis a chance…..

Yep. Got an. ''Oh no...'' from me

If we put aside our feeelings on the signings in terms of their individual merit, because as everyone has said, it’s far too early to say…

What we can say with authority, looking at last season, not one of the signings address our need to find a better balance of the type of player in the squad.

We are still crying out for an increase in power, aggression and pace…and ideally players that have a combination of all 3.

I’m praying the RB that comes in, and fingers crossed another wide option, bring that much needed improvement in the physical aspects of the game to compliment the three signings who you’d probably say are technicians first.

It also scares me that we still don’t have a Rodri back up! Which is bonkers given just how much we missed him, and how much we have spent in the interim.

As you said "its early"

Only on Bluemoon could passing a team to death, tiring them out, constantly propbing, keeping possession, winning trebles etc now be construed as boring by our own resident no nowts. Not just tonight - but this lazy, unanalytical, ignorant bullshit has pervaded many a thread recently.
Might as well want rid of Guardiola, that's how much you clearly understand him.
Just fck off.
100% but there’s no denying we need a completely new style of play if we’re going to use Haaland properly. Getting worried going into next season with Doku and Savinho as our wingers will just be a repeat of last season. Hopefully I’m wrong and they can improve.

Not withstanding sometimes..... boring

I not sure they better in any way

I know loads of ‘home made’ blues who do 5 hour plus journeys to a game and then back again the same day, midweek, early Saturday and Sunday etc in all weathers

Not just once on a big trip because a tournament has landed in the
For once, just fucking ONCE, I would love to see our local English support appreciate what us Yank blues go through to support the team we love. Your country is the size of fucking New Jersey, yeah the M12 is a mess, yeah the trains are inconsistent. Do you think the USA is without transportation problems, do you think people wake up in Detroit and decide to drive to Philly on a whim.
We're ALL fucking Blues for God's sake each and every one of us, support our team AND one and other.
For what it's worth, I had a great time today in my home town and also for what it's worth, I was at York away!!!

If you are wrong it won't be by much

Reijenders showed what he can do in the Rodri roll first half. thought Cherki was good as well, some things didnt come off but looks very confident and wants the ball at his feet and be on the ball all times.
