If this is true, I can only think that he and his team are taking a look around their future place of employment. It would not surprise me, and I don't think too many foresee Pep remaining for the 2025/2026 season.

As for Pep I don’t see him staying much longer.

I could see a scenario where he either leaves at the end of the season if we have got a top replacement lined up or if we can’t get the quality of replacement we want he’ll stay on till the end of his contract.

I suspect he made that call last season, and told the club that he would sign a new deal while they secured his replacement. He is an honourable man, so that scenario is the most likely, IMO.I have thought for a number of weeks now that I wouldn't put it past Pep to keep it on the down low and call it a day at the end of this season.
He might be looking around that dressing room and thinking this might take more than a rebuild to get going again. It might need a new voice, a new energy, a new direction.
Don't get me wrong, I desperately want Pep to be here next season. He is the man for me and can stay as long as he wants. I am just speculating from his perspective.
