Ya Ya - very slow or very quick?

He is quick.
But he 's role priority need saving enegry to defend.

His position need he stay at middle area to protect the middle important route,
so he don't run around like the other position. He need positioning at middle and stay at this area to guard, not the front.

He need stay the energy to run all what he need to run and defend.

If he don't take the role of defensive middle field (DMF),
he don't need take more responsibililty of defend,
he don't need save more enegry also.
If he be a attackive role, e.g. Silva 's position, then he can use most of enegry to run around and fast running.

I think he's both in different situations - discuss

looked dead on his feet after 70 mins should have taken him off in my opinion
I think he's struggling with the pace of the game over here, like my mate said yesterday he's played the last few years as a holding midfielder for Barca, all he had to do was win the ball and then give it to Xavi, Iniesta or Messi, not do the box to box marauding job h'es been asked to do at city, the games he has played so far have been at a faster pace than he's used to and yesterday was a step up again from the previous games.
As for the answer to your question, he seems very slow to begin with then seems to slip into another gear after five yards, a bit like Usian Bolt actually

I know some of u may think this is a crazy idea .. but i feel we should use milner and yaya in the midfield with AJ and silva on wings . yaya and dejong really park the bus in front of the goal leaving no space for opp midfielders . So milner there will do the same job for us that Scholes does for united or Xavi does for barca . He wil bring much more creativity than barry . Also Aj + Silva would be too hot to handle . Once we have the lead , Barry can be slotted in at say 60th minute to see off the game .

Whatever happens .. I dont want City now to start drawing against weaker teams ..

Cheers . Lets paint the world blue

I think he's fast but just has pretty bad acceleration.

Thought he was class yesterday too.

For professional footballer, not only that but one who plays in central midfield, not only that but one who plays in the Premier League, not only that but one who plays for a top team; I think he's a fat fucker!

When he injects his adenosine tri phosphate and creatine systems into a decent run, he is very fast. But he's got too much fat mass to run and run and run in a 90minute game, his VO2 levels cannot be optimised with that much fat!

Ramadan is over now so Yaya's dietary needs should not be a problem any more so he needs to sit down with City's conditioning coach and get a proper diet plan and training plan to get himself in proper, needed, top Premier League midfield shape! He can be so much more useful and effective if he was fit, I can clearly see he isn't!

I've been fairly impressed with his playing ability and effectiveness so far, but I'm very very disappointed in his shape, physique and fitness!

He isn't a defensive midfielder, he's a central midfielder. But at Barca he wasn't good enough to push Xavi and Iniesta out of the team so his physique was used to effectiveness and he was just put in as a defensive midfielder. But as soon as they got an actual defensive midfielder (Busquetes) who actually puts tackles in (Yaya isn't a tackler, he's much mire delicate than people would imagine!) he was replaced and eventually sold!

Very slow off the ball and contributes very little, but fairly quick when on the ball and then contributes quite a lot.
