YaYa and the remaining games

Will leave under the same cloud as Tevez who to be fair put the effort in when he came back.

It's sad but I can't look back on either of them with affection in relation to City.

Fair enough comment a lot of fans will have that point of view but for me Tevez is different, despite his troubles of the field he always ran his socks off and tried 100%.

Yaya has been a massive part of our recent history but it looks like his time is fast coming to an end. The shot he took with the outside of his foot today reflected many of his performances this season. He is still a class act but his application has been lacking in far too many games leaving us wide open against too many teams. I think he'll be gone in the Summer and hopefully a suitable replacement can be found to fill the gap he will leave. The goal he scored against United in the semi was a key moment in the shift in power in Manchester and I for one will be forever thankful for the fantastic memories he has provided me with. Happy Birthday Yaya.

Not sure if you play footy, or know how difficult it is to strike a ball with the outside of the foot.It is not something most players ever do during a match, never mind try it in an attacking posistion, as a quick thinking technique to wrong foot the keeper..so to sum up yaya,s season on that one shot is probably a little unfair..the shot he struck with the inside of his weaker, left foot at Palace two weeks back maybe suggests the lad still knows where the goal is...as does his none too shabby goal tally of 11 from central midfield, deep in central midfield for the most part, outscoring the elbow, shrek and corzola along the way to name a few who play in midfield for rival teams and who didn,t have to jet off over the other side of the world for a tournament and miss a good chunk of the season...

Nope, if your looking for reasons to suggest yayas time at the top of his game is over, you wont find it by looking at his shooting ability.

If Pelle deserves another season after last years exploits then surely a clearly knackered Yaya deserves one after what he's done for us? Cock agent and Napoleon complex apart - he's an immense player when fit and refreshed.

Yes I do play football and yes I know how to strike a ball with the outside of my foot. However, read the post again and you may understand my post. It's his application that has been lacking, he has oodles of skill/class but unfortunately if you don't put effort in youre going to let your team down which he has done several times this season. I won't ever forget the contribution he has made to my club but I won't also be a sycophant, I'll say it as I see it.

Some fools on here with very short memories.

Anyway, if Yaya does end up leaving I hope it's announced before the final game so we can all show him the appreciation he deserves. What a player he has been for us, pretty much won us everything we have won over the past 4 seasons.

Yaya - I salute you.

Nicely summed up.

It is. I absolute love the twat, what a player. I think many can agree it's time to move on.

exactly.
move him on if you wish, the powers that be, but please dont leave a void.

City have to get this decision right.
Release him only if we have a replacement deep lying midfield playmaker( ala alonso and carrick) who also doubles as an attacking midfielder capable of between 11 and 20 goals a season..(ie Lampard in his prime, or Gerrard)

The truth is, we are NOT contemplating replacing a "lazy bastard".. but, rather, one of the finest central midfield players ever to wear our shirt or play top class football in this country.ever.
No knee jerk decisions required here City. and billy blue from down the pub talking to his mates about how slow and lazy yaya is doesnt really have a look in on this issue.

Yeah like the time he refused to come on, or that time he went on a self imposed strike. Take away his agent and Yaya has been a model pro.

I liked Pellergrini response to YaYa and his agent question .
I don't answer to YaYa agent .

which of course your entitled to do......

in my opinion however, to attempt to summarize a persons effort over a season by talking about him tryng a difficult technique which didnt come off is a bit pointless really.
As ive said, his tremendous shot at palace which led to a fantastic goal could be seized upon as an indication he is still the real deal.
his application may have been lacking, in your view but we were neck and neck with chelsea before he left for the ACON.and somewhat behind them when he returned. i suppose that was lazy yaya ,s fault too?

If the midfield enforcers we had signed for big money had done their jobs consistently, we would not be talking about yaya,s inability
to track back, pressure the ball and jump into tackles.Lets be honest, its not really his thing isn it?

Ilook at Fernando and fenandhino,i look at their transfer fees and wonder, if either of them could ever be relied upon to take an away game by the scruff of the neck, take the game to the opponent, play a defence splitting pass, or comfortably keep posession in central midfield playing a dilligent give and go short passing game to tire the opponent out before looking up and sending a 60 yard ball onto a players instep, or striking a crucial late goal through the eye of a needle when surrounded by five defenders( villa away-pure class)...and i dont think they could .

i then wonder why some fans want to see yaya sweat blood trying to man mark players and follow their runs...

If sweating blood is a ten, and failing to track back is a five, then Yaya is occasionally a one or a two. He's had his mardarse days where he'd be a bad influence on any team, but on his good days he's still incredible. I'm a big fan of Yaya, but I can see why some City fans (I'm not a proper City fan btw) are ready to pull the plug. I bet deep down, even the biggest Yaya-outer has contemplated the frightening possibility of a highly motivated Yaya rocking for the opposition up in a CL game.
