esp fans who think arguably the most gifted midfield player we,ve ever seen is "lazy"
i mean for fucks sake, the man hardly ever misses a game for city or ivory coast and has played virtually non stop for the past two years taking in his stride two Acon a world cup, two champions league campaigns and two attempts on the title in the most physically demanding league in world football.

Toure was OK on the ball but off it he had no interest. Really annoying. We can't afford to play him at the moment.

Perhaps he has always been that type of player and finds it difficult to adjust ?

Maybe he simply has not got that in his game and if we change our style of play to match the best in Europe who now match their individual massive talent with tracking back application when they lose the ball then his talent may be only half of the team game his presence demands.

In attack the great Jimmy Greaves was simply a goalscorer and just waited for his chance to score but as a midfield player Yaya appears to want others to get the ball. deliver it perfectly to him so that he can demonstrate his undoubted talent. Great when he surges forward but as a midfield team worker perhaps he is a luxury.

There's no doubt in my mind that we need to move him on this summer, and there's also no doubt in my mind that he should be remembered as a legend of our club. He singlehandedly took us from being a good team to a top class team that wins titles regularly. Rags semi final... Yaya. Stoke final... Yaya. First premier league title, the crunch game away at in-form Newcastle, not long left and we need someone to step up... Yaya scores two. Carling Cup final, playing poorly, need some magic to change the game... Yaya scores a screamer from 30 yards. Last season's league title... Yaya gets 20 goals from midfield.

Yaya has been phenomenal for us. What a player! But the time is right to move on.
