Frightening isn't it that we still need to rely on him. I agree he is still needed as the alternatives are just not there.

Probably means next season will also be another transition season with all the new signings we will need to make. I can't see us needing less than 5 new players. Possibly more.

It's really poor planning.

Sums up our transfer policy that we are still relying on past it 33 year old when in possession.

5-8 players needed next summer as Zabaleta, Sagna, Clichy, Kolarov, Caballero, Toure, Delph & Navas will most likely be gone.

Some good points on this thread , time for change and Pep needs to start believing in our youth and younger players , Maffeo , Angelino , Garcia , Iheanacho , Jesus , Sane should all be getting game time until the end of the season and not loaned out , because its unlikely we are going to be title contender when the Champs league starts again. We can keep the experienced players for the big Champs league games this season its probably our best hope of a trophy .Also looking forward to getting Roberts , Zinchenko and Moreno back for next season , we need younger hungrier players to replace the likes of Yaya , Zabs, Kolarov , Vinny , Silva they are all the wrong side of thirty they have been stalwarts for the club , but we have to look long term with a view to winning the title again in a couple of seasons time.

I don't agree, I think he's more than god enough for the way Pep will have us playing, its his fitness that is the question mark, if he can get that back then he'll be very good for us, he isn't Yaya, and shouldn't be seen to be, as he is a different type of player, but with Fernandhino alongside I think they will be very good together, and lets not forget we have Garcia coming through.

Would he just use a Fernando-Fernandinho duo every game? If that would be a stronger duo than Fernandinho-Yaya he would use it now as well but he doesnt.
